One has to remember that base 911 Turbo costs 350000 USD in China thanks to taxes, that's before PDK or any other extras.
Original story says he will drive NASCAR truck (first) before summer and take also part in 8 rallies in WRC series. His ICE1 Racing team will work with Foster Gillett on NASCAR.

@caughtinthecrowd: So what You're saying is that 57 yo. guy is wrong about that girl because You are awesome? Well, You are awesome but that doesn't prove anything about rights or wrongs in discussion on JF.
Also, maybe old guy have done more difficult things than changed spare tire in heat, that we don't know either.
@TrampaOnline: I have current 1,8 TFSI(turbo, direct inj.) in A3 and there's no turbo lag any more, because of modern tech. probably.
This is the motor which is offered in Euro Passats and it has same 170 hp., here in euroland most new Passats sold are turbodiesels though, also 170 hp.
@eforeal: Why don't you go and find mf idiot seller who did this to poor M3...
Or you could buy 911 or E46 M3.....cp
Ash must win this. This was good and we all know how good Ash can be.
@Alfisted: Haha, good one.
Fifth gear was btw. nearly cancelled recently but still they continue with it, it seems. Not for a long probably, it lacks soul and chemistry and this guy will not bring it. As he will take "the Stig like role and job" according to Guardian, all this enterprise looks even more desperate and copycat-ish.
@Snabb-SAAB: Text IMHO says it's in Switzerland, not in Scandinavia.
Again some mix up Swiss vs. Sweden.
@Lotte: Umm, strictly speaking Scandinavia is this peninsula where Sweden and Norway are. But Denmark is also Scandinavian country because of language which is in the same language group with its nordic neighbors. Finland is not Scandinavian country because they have quite different culture and completely different language.
These all 4 are Nordic countries, though.
@Brian Timm: +1
Unbelievably cheap chest-thumping post again from Krider.
Better still, create homage van for some legendary racing team, you also could create imaginary team first in your head and then create suitable design for team's van.....
And yes, use vinyl wrap so you can change your van's look easily.
Classic black and white combo
Have they checked this thing in tunnel, ideally there should be minimal clearence between car and ground, no?
Will it take off and fly? It certainly looks nice but is it really 275 mph ready?
I actually spent many hours in my childhood modifying those soviet model cars. Stripping the paint with acetone, sawing those cars to pieces and gluing them together as different (convertible, limo) type car. Quality of my projects of course was awful, but it was fun. After I got first western die cast cars (Majorette, Matchbox) I treated those soviet cars even more badly indeed, more cutting and destroying. Need to go and find what's left. I can send you, Murilee maybe some models.
@sskkiilleeff: OK. So the Aeroflot car is real original model? I was thinking those lines on the roof and logo was installed by 5 yo. boy.
@Jim-Bob wants a B13 SE-R, but will settle for working air conditioning in his 353,000 mile Nissan Frontier.: unfortunatelly these are not my models, I had similar collection and it's currently somewhere in my childhood home. Kamaz trucks and all. It's Moscwhich 426 or 427 there , difference is that first has clamshell type door for cargo area and later has 1-piece door opening up. Aeroflot stickers are probably from plane building kit, not authentic cast model thingies as those logos would be painted and placed more correctly.
@Jim-Bob wants a B13 SE-R, but will settle for working air conditioning in his 353,000 mile Nissan Frontier.: Well, they never had anything bigger in soviet union, all my 30 or so (all cast metal-) model cars were 1:43. Don't know why they had this scale as a must. Typical soviet thing, no innovation needed, some factory in siberia just produced models, some better quality than others, for tens of years. As there was very little real cars introduced, models stayed the same, sometimes they did bother with some special graphics like Police car or similar.
