According to the ESRB; Halo Wars is the first and only Halo game to be rated Teen. All others have been rated mature. You can even look it up on their website.
Yeah, they apparently can be. They certainly shouldn't be though. If you think it should be illegal to think something.....Wow.
"If one gets their kicks from imagining children engaging in sexual contacts something is not very OK with them."
I really don't see what separates that from other fetishes. If someone has a fetish for the overweight, is that also wrong? What about a foot fetish? A leg fetish? A breast fetish? A fetish for the porportions of a child? A fetish for the same sex? A fetish for fur? They're all the same and it's not something which can be changed. The only thing I see as wrong here is it being illegal to draw or having drawings of people who are perceived (Keep in mind, these are drawings and do not have an age.) as being younger than 18. It is completely and uderly WRONG to NOT be able to draw or having a drawing of something. If I want I should be able to have a picture of a person being shot, and I legally can, in fact many movies have extremely realistic depictions of this. Child pornography is NOT illegal because of the content, but because of the damage it can and does inflict on the children and our belief that they are not mature enough to make the decision (Which I'd agree that they cannot make the decision.) to allow it and that many are forced into it.
@wheatieboy: I'm not sure what's worse; how pointlessly stupid the fuel saver is or that the person who made the video doesn't realize he's being trolled by atheists.
@Soundboy42: Valve has always referred to the next Half Life game as episode 3. They also haven't finished the current plot arc. It would only make sense to call the next Half Life game episode 3, even if it is the length of a full single-player game, just like Episode 2 was.
Of course, they also could call it Half Life 3, but if Valve has been calling it Episode 3, than there is nothing wrong with call it as such. If anything you should be bothered by people calling it Half Life 3, like I am.
-Skip a gear: Will not help any. You'll just bog your engine down, causing you to open the throttle more, which uses more gas.
-Keep the Revs Low: See above. RPM does not change fuel usage. Throttle position does. If you keep the RPM low then you need to open the throttle more to go the same speed or accelerate at the same rate.
-Change to Neutral: This will only help when going downhill and don't need to use your brakes, if at any point you do need to slow down then you would have been better off engine breaking.
-Don't use your engine as a brake: See all the above. A HIGHER RPM DOES NOT EQUAL HIGHER FUEL USAGE! Nearly all modern vehicles use ZERO fuel under engine braking.
-Unleaded vs Premium Fuels: Using gasoline with a higher then required octane rating will not change anything. It will not use more fuel, it will not have more power, it will only cost more money and waste more of a limited resource. If you want to "clean your engine" (Which is a waste) then use a bottled fuel additive.
-Eco friendly vehicle: Yes, there is an excuse. A new vehicle will cost more then you'll probably save in gasoline using it.
Now if you don't mind me, I'm going to blow past you on a motorcycle from the 60s which gets better mileage than your Prius.
Like for many others, it would have to be the 1970 Chevelle SS with the 454 LS6. Of all the cars I've desired, that year of Chevelle is one I've always wanted.
@viciousarcanum: That's what they do. While the definition of hacker can be applied to a people who do a wide range of things, "cracker" would be a more accurate term for someone who breaks into networks for the purposes you'd be thinking of.
There's quite a bit of reading related to this controversy.
@hangus77: Actually, the stickers aren't from an anime. They're of Miku Hatsune, who is a Vocaloid or rather is a character for one of the voices of a singing synthesizer program.
If you want to get even more specific. Those pictures were drawn for the Mirai no Kimi to, Subete no Uta ni, a visual novel by Supplement Time. So technically they're "fanart visual novel" stickers.
Needless to say, I laughed when I saw something so obscure on a drift car in Russia.
That link will guide you to a better, older Jalopnik. Because here at Jalopnik we prefer older, simpler things which are logically put together with universal parts. Sure they might not be as "smooth" or "seamless" but they sure are faster.
(Though I'd imagine some of you are already aware of this, the more that know they can view Jalopnik with the old layout, the better.)
