"Translation: "We never lowered the fees after the dotcom bust, so we can't raise them any further without looking like total bastards""

      • krylonultraflat commented on California Tortilla Cashier Screams At Disabled Customer Who Accidentally Spilled Tray

"You can't really expect a burrito shop that has the picture of the owner and his wife on every napkin to act like a jerk in a situation like this."

      • krylonultraflat commented on Leaving IKEA Empty-Handed

"Typically with decent sized purchases, I: - pick something out as soon as I get to the store - wander around the rest of the store and do my casual shopping - think a little harder about whether I need the thing I came for on my way to the checkout. Sometimes I buy the thing, sometimes I realize that I can wait and buy it online or used, sometimes I realize I'm an idiot for wanting this right now and put it back and out of my head. Sometimes (like Timmus above) I also put stuff back when the act of purchasing it pisses me off too much."

      • krylonultraflat commented on Procter & Gamble: Pringles Are Not Potato Chips

"I thought the only reason Pringles labels themselves as "Crisps" in America is because Lays sued the hell out of P&G when they first came on the market in order to prevent them from being called Chips."

"Another + for leathermen: they give you knives worth damn. I've gone through many a micra and the blades have always been sharp from day one through day "damn I lost the thing again." I want a skeletool but know the same thing will happen in a week, so no sense throwing 60$ out the window."
