"@Dearthair the Totally Uncreative: I would recommend a visit to the nearest Infiniti dealer to check out the 2007+ interiors - you won't even recognize it vs the 2003-2006 G cockpit...and the G interior (despite many thinking it gives Audi a run for the money) is pretty barren & crude vs the new EX and FX...I'm skipping the whole "value" discussion as that will result in more unnecessary replies from Germanphiles...Bottom line, I've been in ALL the late model vehicles - and there is a reason I bought the Infiniti... P.S."

"I'm semi-qualified to throw in an opinion...I own or have recently owned the following: 2008 Infiniti G35xS, 2006 Audi A4 Quattro 3.2, 2006 VW Rabbit (not luxo but very German), Acura TSX and Acura TL-S ...and in addition I've driven nearly every mfr and have a ton of access to the BMW track at Spartanburg... German and Japanese entry-luxury/luxury are definitely different...The refinement of the Germans may be a step above but the electrical systems are still much less "stable" than the Japanese."

    • klossfam commented on Weekend Query: Your Best/Worst Ticket

"More interesting than Best/Worst - I live in Buffalo and was headed up to Markham, Ontario to see customers with a fellow associate...Get pulled over on the way home on the 407 Toll Hwy doing 136 kmh(85 mph) in a 100 kmh (62 mph)...The OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) officerette - Ms Harris - walks up to the passenger side window and says "You know the kilometers per hour are those small numbers in the center" (referring to the typical MPH/KPH layout on my '02 Acura TL-S Type)...whereas by brilliant associate pipes up "He knows that!"...She wrote me for just 120 kph (which is basically a non-moving violation in ON and NY - which have reciprocity on points)...But the story doesn't end there...I get back to the office and it was only a $100 CDN ticket(at a time of a strong US dollar - so $65 USD)...I pay it via fax with my Visa...About a week later I get a check from the Region of Halton - where I got pulled over - for $100 CDN and the ticket with "Dismissed" stamped on it...Turns out the officer never turned in the ticket within the 7 days required under Ontario law...Probably felt bad since 85 mph on the 407 is standard cruising speed and she must have held the ticket."

"The Chrysler 300 is still painful on the peepers as is it's brethren the Magnum (why a Dodge RAM grill on a sedan or wagon?) Pre-2008 Subie Tribecas (guess I wasn't the only one - hence the redesign) The Toyo FJ Cruiser, Chevy HHR and Chrysler PT Cruiser are all a case of good retro intentions gone bad... And the Chrysler parade of ugly scoots can be added to with the Caliber and Nitro... "

"Guess this just proves her last rehab facility was another So-Cal country club...or she wasn't paying attention during her stay?...How 'bout staging a street drag between her Escalade (anti-green mobile) and Al Gore Jr's Prius (green and then some) and the loser donates their ride to charity?"
