I would rather the guidelines behind it be straightforward and painless. If they need to pass the cost on to customers then that's fine, but it's more likely that given competitive forces, it'll shrink their bottom line.
75% - he'd have to pay $100K for a car that would have cost him $400K originally (you still have to pay tax when you're buying retail).
No FT-86, but I can dig it.
What's the practical reason behind this?
The motto stands - if only out of respect for the fact that he died doing something he loved. Doesn't mean I'm against them making the sport safer.
No comments on subaru owners? Surprising.
I highly doubt this wasn't staged, for folks complaining that we shouldn't run lights.
Blink and you'll miss it. Don't blink and you'll shit bricks.
Our roads are fine - if three wheelers with four inches of clearance can navigate it without flipping over this will be okay - just raise it a little.
Would love to see this in India.
I don't think Porsche really gives two shits about this - they licensed it out initially probably because E.A. offered them the most cash. Porsche is already in every country, so they don't need video games as a promotional tool, and most of their volume sellers are not really performance cars (let's be honest here - the majority of the people that buy their cars buy non-turbo base 911's or boxsters). The fast cars are too expensive for the vast majority of the video-game playing audience to afford.
I hate E.A., but this is not some one-sided deal - Porsche agreed to it. I won't be purchasing The Run - but that's because (and I'm very likely the only person to feel this way) I feel like anything I play besides Forza is not as responsive and just confuses me.
automobile traffic is terrible there. There's no concept of lanes so motorcyclists literally are allowed to jump into any gaps they see. Cars don't have that option.
It's because of the beige-ness - I haven't seen much on Jalopnik against the upcoming FR-S - because Jalopnik and most Jalops look forward to it.
1) Move upsize to Legacy (non-turbo)
2) Drop some money on suspension, brakes, sway-bars, what have you.
3) Enjoy ultimate sleeper status.
Under the rules described above - wouldn't they be on the hook for the full fares of all the passengers? (the waiver of rights would absolve them of actually having to pay, but basically they would be on the hook because of the massive delay they just caused).
Cars hold a special place in our hearts because they allow us to move back and forth much more quickly than otherwise, but also (and this is key) because they make us feel that we can go anywhere, and do anything. Not only do we have access to farther destinations, but we get to enjoy many more journeys. Vehicles like the RX-8, with the focus on the journey, excite us Jalops much more than cars like the Camry - appliances designed to take you from point A to point B.
An older Subaru Legacy GT - you can go all day everyday, with four doors and considerable sleeper value.
Hold me closer, tiny dancer.
One thing that people may have heard many times, but I think bears repeating, is that the best camera is the one you have on you. I know too many people that owned SLR's but did way less photography than I did solely because going out and bringing the camera became an occasion that they needed to plan for.

Your 100 megapixel super sensored camera with 1000mm zoom lens is going to be outshot by my 5 MP point and shoot if you left your camera back in the car/house/observatory.
