And if it has too rain for a car too assert itself as a winner nobody cares unless they live in Seattle.

If it's raining and snowing these supercars are in Garages.

Hats off to the ZR-1 and the Rear wheel drive car that did
this. My fantasy dollars are getting spent on the Vette.

And place with nice weather.

<![CDATA[hoontastic commented on Be Honest: Automatic or Manual?]]> Tremec 6 speed manual !

Had to sell a new C6 corvette shortly after buying one. I thought it was time to throw in the towel for city traffic ad get the vette in automatic (one and only one I've ever owned). That car was sold at a hefty loss 8 months later. I could not stand the complete lack of feeling like I was actaully driving the car.
I might as well have been staring blanking out the window of a cab or greyhound bus. My GTO I replaced that car with has the Tremec 6 speed manual that goes clunk with each heavy duty shift. I love it ! never again so long as I am able will I get an automatic. Except maybe in a van or truck. Automatics do leave one hand free though !

<![CDATA[hoontastic commented on Low-End Torque or High-RPM Power?]]> I'm on LS2 #2, 1st a C6 Vette then a GTO. 400Lb feet at low RPMs (and sub $30K new car cost) is the most powerful thing I've ever felt (torque). Not to mention the sound ! George Lucas is right the sound is 50% of the movie. That an LS equipped car is a fraction of the cost of the DOHC contenter with same zip code preformance makes it the clear practical winner too. Keep mine a simple stupid pushrod stump puller please. Oh yeah a LS2 crate motor goes for $6K new. Blow em up if you can they'll make more.

Winning at a stoplight without high revs...Priceless.
