I'm going to try too look at the bright side. Increased entry price not too big of a deal, prices are rising all over the place. A GTI will run around the same price. If it still looks the same, then it still looks the same, and I like the way it looks. Remember that 'shop of this thing as a convertible and every one said kill the current Solaras and make it? They're probably going to make it. Tuning the engine for fuel economy instead of power means more fun with aftermarket parts? Though that will raise the final cost of these things. More power doesn't necessarily equate to a more enjoyable car anyways. Will probably be cool and cheap when bought used?
There is still the Subaru version, maybe Subaru begged Toyota to help the differentiate the two cars, and Toyota said, "ok" and the Subaru version will probably be more "youth" oriented?
Maybe this is just a Japan and Europe thing, were hatch's are more in with the kids? I'm from the US so I have no idea.
I don't know. Fuck you Toyota. This was your chance to redefine yourself after the whole recall hell you went though. You already lost the your 30-40 year old customers who don't know shit about cars. Grab new ones.
I remember seeing something like this years ago, but it was done with Alex Vance from HL2 and in the Source engine. I think I saw it here on Kotaku actually. I'm too lazy to find the post.
You know what would be crazy? If Valve implemented Windows APIs for Mac through Steam a la Wine. and almost every game offered on steam worked. That would be pretty insane.
There is an idea that fanboyism is a type of buyer's remorse. Most kids will only have enough money to buy one console or platform. So to make sure they bought the right one, they become diehard advocates almost religious in their fanaticism.
@jodark: Obama is getting things done while giving off a "regular guy" vibe, while W was just some "regular guy".
I don't know if what Obama is getting done is any good. I'm just saying Obama seems more active in the whole leadership thing than W.
