<![CDATA[Comments from Frost Face]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Frost Face]]> <![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Ten New Cars For People Who Hate Cars]]> Not that I agree with Car and Driver even 30% of the time, but they did just rate the Sonata as the best little gas sipping 4-banger sedan in a pretty big line-up. (This comes with the hitch that you don't want to pay for premium to put in a turbocharged Passat).

#1 at the eclipse couldn't be more true. The funny thing is that I would probably love it with a 4B11T AWD system in it... and so would most other evo owners!

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on ATTENTION: Engines Do Not Need To Run In Reverse To Make Your Car Go In Reverse]]> Yeah, trollmax to the max. Funny none the less.

The only good thing that came out of this is me remembering the last time I hit full boost in revers in my 35r powered 2g DSM!

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Windows XP Service Pack 3 Available on Microsoft's Servers]]> I'd wait. Personally I'm a bit scared of SP3 since it has WGA. If the apocalypse comes and you need to use your PC you better have a connection to the M$ servers to keep your activation in-tact or a fresh, handy ubuntu install or you won't be able to do much at all with your pc ;).

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on AMS Mitusbishi Lancer Evolution VIII Makes 1130 HP]]> Yeah, not a dyno queen.

The TA car has gone through almost 2 seasons on the same engine now. I don't know how many engines they have had in the drag car but I haven't seen them blow one up on the track...

Sheps car is amazing also, but he converted to no radiator a couple of years ago, so that really isn't streetable anymore. Yes, AMS could drive this car on the street if they wanted to... shep could have too when he was only in the 8s.

All that and a little bit more... check out Brent Rau, thats a full tube frame car, but its still pumping a 4g63 and running 6 second quarters.

With a properly set up suspension I would trust any DSM at 200mph. Stock suspension no way, but even with just mildly upgraded struts and springs my 2g felt fine at 140. Hit a bump in any car going that fast and you are talking about trouble though. Hell, the 2g gearing allows for 186mpg at the stock (low) redline if you can make it there.

Wheres the goddamn 4g63 engine of the day I've been asking for?!

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Make Outlook thread conversations like Gmail]]> I'd hate to say it, but its still not as good as gmail. <![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Big Block With Four Turbos, Witty Headline Impossible]]> if a 2.3l single turbo engine can make over 1000hp on a GT-42R, I'm sure a 7.243L engine can make 2000hp on two of them. Looks overly-complicated to me

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Roy on Letterman]]> @Panos540: Nashville to chicago on a motorcycle had a few stops for fuel and a bit of traffic, but no big deal. Chicago back to Nashville for a BS no insurance had to show up for court thing with 1 stop in a car, starting at 10pm no problem. Coming back the next day leaving after court at 11am no problem also.

Wussy.

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Confessions: The Meanest Thing Gizmodo Did at CES]]> Great little trick, hopefully it didn't cost anybody any money. Seems like most of the presenters carried on well.

If nothing else, hopefully this teaches the setup crews that in a show situation you need to have 0 errors, and that includes putting gaffer's tape over the ir ports on everything that doesn't need it exposed.

At least they kept the same PDX amp line from last year, my 1.1000 has been great!

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Which City Has the Worst Drivers?]]> In the states? Vegas... horrible collaboration of terrible driving from everywhere.

Way worse than Chicago, people have their heads up their asses and their way is the right of way around here, but its not half as bad as the sin city.... and I have no idea how people ride scooters down the strip.

]]>
<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Who Is The Worst Driver You've Ever Met?]]> Eh, crazy Chicago. Crazy losers try to cut me off all the time and I have no problem flipping them off. Unfortunately this has led to probably 10 occasions of that person flipping me off and then trying to brake check me (and failing because I drive an Evo and have already increased my following distance)... then pulling next to me and trying to run me off the road.... to which I don't flinch because, well, I'd rather have them buy me a new car than wind up off the road using my car as it was intended :)

]]>
<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Who Is The Worst Driver You've Ever Met?]]> @clank-o-tron: Yup, $2k/6mo with a clean driving record and 1 ticket on my evo IX :(

]]>
<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on How Far Can You Cruise Past E?]]> WTF is up with all these people on that site paying $400 for a fuel pump or the "16 year master mechaninc" claiming $1K for a fuel pump. High performance race pumps that are standard replacements cost less than $100... 1000HP fuel pumps usually don't cost much more than $500...

]]>
<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on How Far Can You Cruise Past E?]]> Evos seem to be not so consistant.. but my light goes on at about 11 gallons used of 14 full tank. It's got saddlebag-style tanks to keep fuel in the pumps when low, but I know I've still got a good 60 or so miles after the light comes on.

And about the fuel pump longevity thing... which is worse, towing around a (5.8-6.5lb/gal) extra 1/4 tank of gas on average (filling up at half rather than E) or an extra 15+lbs or replacing your fuel pump 10kmiles sooner... which is probably far beyond its efficient service life already? After the 80k miles I bet you still see out of the in-tank pump i have a feeling that could foot the $80 bill for a new fuel pump.

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on French Revolutionaries Blow Up Speed Cameras]]> Oh, and about that last comment the preparation is pretty easy, but it would also be pretty easy to blow off half your body... let alone a hand or something if you didn't know what you were doing... so be careful and don't combine those items kids.

]]>
<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on French Revolutionaries Blow Up Speed Cameras]]> Honestly, you could probably make a pretty sweet explosive out of model rocket engines, CO2 canisters, epoxy and some cans of carb cleaner... which would probably only cost you about $2, but that would be to ensure that they couldn't just spend $10 to replace a power supply or broken wire, etc to fix the camera. A .30-06 round is pretty powerful, but I think were talking about a little more machine than you guys think....

<![CDATA[Frost Face commented on Sketches of Mitsubishi Concept-RA Revealed]]> Though I'm impressed by the looks and the power out of a "clean" car, I was hoping for a bit more hp and ALOT more torque out of that engine setup....

Diamond teamed up with Saturn.
