You can just take your "realities of the world" and step away from my giant robot movie, sir.
Never happen, but it needs to be all on Cybertron. No humans, no love story, and maybe a little character development for the bots.
I imagine there might be some strip mining outfit out there looking at this and thinking, "Hey, we need to hire this guy and buy a ton of RC gear".

Looks like some of his trucks and dozers are reworked Tonka vehicles.

The fact that it didn't get the nod here in the States ties in nicely to the recent question asking if F-1 would ever be big in the US. I think the fact it was ignored is part of the answer to that question.
I remember seeing that car at CART races. They had a team of lady drivers who would whisk the lucky few around the track. I also remember seeing it as one of the auction items when ChampCar went under. There is a bit of nostalgia there, but $15000 is just too much for a car that just isn't that special aside from a bit of paint and some decals.
1968 Mustang. I bought it when I was 15.75 years old. Drove it through high school and part way through college. It then went into part time use. Until I graduated. Projects were in line with keeping it running including replacing the clutch and brake peddle bracket failed while on the highway. Good fun that when the peddles fall to the floor when you need them.

Now it sits in storage and will be a project again some time in the future.

I've often wondered what would happen if you dropped the 4G63 out of an Evo into Caterham. I'm guessing it would be fun.
Great choise...and I miss Paul Stoddart.
You have to do the time, so you might as well have a little fun.
Pretty straight in though with a TON of training. Much respect for the shuttle, but it would be tougher if you woke up one morning, looked at the routing sheet and realized that you were landing the shuttle that day. Grab your coffee and figure it out.
I agree. Needs to be a situation where they find happiness and it just goes black with a boom. Done.
Amen. People will think I'm nuts, but I wanted an Aptera. I'm so bored with slightly reworked versions of three boxes. Maybe I watched too much of the Jetson's, but I thought the Aptera was a neat looking car. Besides, do I really need 3500 lbs to run my butt too and from work? No.
Yay, another Porsche race car you can go see and hear in person!
Pretty much what I was thinking. The Soyuz has enough survival gear on board that if you can get to land, just about anywhere, you should be good for a while. Getting everything right for a rendezvous, with no training and no help from ground control should only be accomplished by a professional on a closed course. Pretty sure I read that in the owners manual.
I attended the 2001 United States Grand Prix in Indianapolis a couple of weeks after 9/11. It was one of the first major sporting events in the country after the attacks and had a very high percentage of international guests. There were about 100K people there to watch the Formula 1 race. We have a friend who is close with the IPD and the snipers (he was a sniper in Vietnam and shoots with them from time to time) so we had heard a bit about the security that was in place for the race. It was definitely stepped up for an event of this type. Everything was fine during the race, but we were surprised to see two fully loaded F-15s (heavy with air to air armaments) drop down fairly low and buzz the track shortly after the race ended.

We asked our friend and he told us they had been there all along circling high in case anything happened. I would not be surprised at all if something similar had been happening at the Super Bowl.

Few things better than a wide open F-1 car.
The Ring is huge and runs through parts of a number of towns. 13 miles of pavement, 26 miles of armco (both sides), a number of bridges, a bazillion tires for the tire walls, a bunch of rescue trucks and maintenance guys, a pit area and a visitor center/ticket booth. That is all before you get to the F-1 track. I love your passion, but non-profits have a hard time keeping a 1.5 mile 6 turn road coarse up and running. I think the Ring is too much for something like that to handle.
If you can swing it travel in the shoulder or off seasons for good savings and crowd avoidance. You can still have a great time.

If you are in the travel business take advantage of interline discounts. Sites like https:\\www.dargal.com can offer some pretty deep discounts on hotels and cruises.

Milk any discounts you can get from agreements your employer has in place for all they are worth. You can get good discounts from corporate partners.

Don't carry your national currency while out of the country. It is a waste and a risk. My mom had $500 stolen in Rome after I repeatedly told her to leave the US money at home.

Hitting an ATM at the airport is usually a safe place to get a reasonable amount of local currency.

Driving in many counties is ok, just be sure to read up on the laws and customs. Driving in Germany is awesome, but if you drive the way most Americans do you will get a lot of angry looks.

If you want to find cheap, good food? Ask the cab driver where they go to eat.

Find out when the local farmers market happens and check it out for fun, deals and some good eats.

Hmm, how about not posting all the ads on the web so they will be a surprise during the game and will help ensure that people are actually watching that multi-million dollar 30 seconds you bought and not getting a refill on cheese dip and chips? Not trying to be bitchy, but it seems really odd to roll them all out early.

My formula, regardless of the car, and the more brands the better, is to have Sabine Schmidt (lady racer + ok looking = good thing) and Jeremy Clarckson (funny) in the car flogging it around the 'Ring. Sure the ad for the new Viper would be 7 minutes long, but there is bound to be a play review that is about that long. The Civic ad would be around 8:30. They can just drop that in for half time. Who hear really wants to see Madonna anyway? Multiply that formula by 7 or cars and you have filled your ad slots and have the makings for a DVD or BBCA special that people would want to watch by itself.

Does the ZS20 have stabilization? Looked the Panasonic site and didn't see it. I take a lot of motorsports pics and it seems to help.
