"In Georgia, as long as one of the two parties holding a conversation knows that the conversation is being recorded, the recording is A-OK. So, from a cop's perspective: While I don't think that it should be illegal to film anything from a vehicle, it does sound like the guy tried to trump up a false complaint; we have several jokers in my area that will deliberately commit a traffic violation in front of a cop to get pulled over and then act as belligerent as possible, hoping to get the cop to respond in such a way as to provide good material for a civil suit against the officer and department. That being said, we cops sort of expect to be recorded on video and/or audio and/or photography everywhere we go in public and in everything we do in public."
