I am. Click on the link I provided, it's right there. It's actually €54k, but that's close enough. It's a progressive tax based on CO2 emissions, which is directly related to fuel consumption. 0-110 gram/km = 0€ per gram, 111-180 = €94/gram, 181-270 = €280/gram, 270+ = €654/gram.
Camaro 2SS: 304 grams CO2 per km. So that's 110*0 + 70*94 + 90*280 + 34*654 = €54016
I honestly don't know. Probably something to do with 5.0. Ask $kaycog, she'll know. #oppositelock
Peugeot released a teaser for the upcoming 208 GTI.

I wish Vavon was still here. I'd like to hear his input about this car. #oppositelock

If you can find your post you can still find the guy. Just like here where I promoted you, you can click the name behind 'promoted by' or 'approved by'. #oppositelock
Ha! If only. For something frugal, like a Toyota Aygo, it's VAT and not much else. So roughly 20%. But the Camaro is extremely thirsty, and in my country will get slapped with a huge amount of gas guzzler tax. Everything combined this results in 182% tax. So it'll cost $130k, and no one will buy it. #oppositelock
It's actually $45k for the 2SS, before taxes. Still not a very good deal compared to the US, but not nearly as bad as what the article insinuates. #oppositelock
I have no idea. But anybody with a star can approve, so it's probably a regular commenter. Did he reply to you too? If so you'll be able to retrace the comment where you were approved. #oppositelock
I just bought new (cloth) front seats for my car. They're absolutely filthy though. Any advise on how to clean them? I don't think I can put them in my washing machine... #oppositelock
You're less than a minute late:)
I assume you do (theoretically) get them. I live in the Netherlands (450 km drive from Flensburg), our fuel costs are similar and we do get them. Nobody will buy them, but we do get them.
It's relatively close. The pre-tax base 328i F30 3-series starts at almost €30k (pre-tax) here. The Camaro (2SS) at €35k. After taxes the Camaro is more than double the price of the post-tax 328i, because the Camaro is slapped with an unbelievably high gas guzzler tax while it's quite mild for the 328i (€54k vs €4k. No typo). But that's country dependent, and I don't live in the UK.
Actually, the before-taxes price of the Camaro is €35k here, which translates to $45.8k. And you'll get a 405 hp V8 with a mandatory (meh) slushbox and leather for that money. Judging from the [chevrolet.com] site that's a 2SS, which starts at $36k in the US.

In my country it's completely uncompetitive though. It might cost €35k pre-tax, but it gets slapped with €55k gas guzzler tax. And then there's VAT. [www.autoweek.nl] .

Projected yearly sales: 2.

Probably. An LPG installation will cut the running costs in half, so it´s only slightly more expensive to run compared to the US.
You'd be right, as a car without them wouldn't be street legal or pass mandatory yearly safety inspections in many countries.
Is it really? GM is profitting heavily from research and platforms developed by Opel.
After reading 3th geat it seems to me Renault wants to build more upscale vehicles, and bought help from Mercedes.
The V60 is the A4 competitor.
It depends on the generation and where it was built. For example German made mk2 Golfs were bulletproof tanks, the mk4 not so much.
It's more a quintessential show piece of American conservatism. Germans don't buy Jettas, they buy Golfs. Why do you think the current Jetta is built in Mexico while the Golf is built in Germany?
I've spent about 6 hours as a passenger in a 1986 w124 200D with Dutch plates last weekend. Incredibly solid car, despite being a bit slow. And the 4 speed manual should've been a 5 speed. The w124 was blue. Not metallic blue, just blue. I really wouldn't mind owning one.
