they couldn't have picked a better car to autopilot... most prius drivers hate to drive anyway hence their choice of an appliance
@Jim-Bob: Truer words were never spoken
@SEXYHAMMER: Che has never deserved any respect from anyone now or forever. The homage paid to him and his likeness is amusing and stupid at the same time.
Tis sad to see Murilee leave, but we know he will be back once again. I will miss his bay area stories and outlook on all things automotive. Good luck on the book
Send Peter Orosz packing while and you will really improve things. His love for all things gangster does nothing for Jalopnik
I saw two of them monday on the road while driving to Monterey. I am assuming that they were heading to pebble beach.... I was not. They look WAY BETTER in person than the photos. We have a 95 Grand Cherokee with 220,000 miles and my wife likes the look of the new one so much she wants to get one.
We had an 82 S10 with the 2.8 V6. Drove it for 180,000 miles and it was still running well when we sold it.

It went from my dad, to my mom, to my brother, then my other brother, then me, then back to my first brother...
I drove it for around 80K of those miles and did essentially nothing more than basic maintenance. We couldn't kill it.
meant to include this pic of a 1970 Dodge Challenger
I initially hesitated to post this car since I thought everyone wants and loves one. That may not be true....
1988 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Power, style, economy, fun all in one tight little package. The 1989 Tbird SC was a bloated pig of a car.
pleez. Not an approprate Jalop post since it is barely car related. Some of the posts here sound like they just came off of Daily Kos. There are plenty of lunatics on both sides of the aisles. This guy is nuts and he happends to be Republican.
they just need to buy the old Crown Vic tooling and continue producing that as a cop car!
214K on my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 4.0 6 an auto trans. I drive it every day and I don't baby it and everything still works inside and out. Paint still nice and interior very clean. It shows no signs of ever dying. It does burn a quart every 3K miles or so and has a few oil leaks. Only mechanicals were accessories like starter, alternator and radiator. The engine and trans on these are indestructable. My brother has a 1992 Jeep Cherokee with the same 4.0 6 and his has 220K. #qotd
@microcars: Where is the almighty quality control from Toyota? Don't they check on their suppliers to see how such an important part such as this is built?
Guy in my office building drives a very nice one to work every day. Same color with an auto. Guessing it has the original engine. Stags are totally Jalpnik forbidden fruit. Can't resist the looks, the umbrella handle rollcage...but the engine... Time insulted us all by putting on the short list of 50 worst cars of all time. Time is irrelevant to car owners anyway. Sorry. Looks like the first post has it correct
Ok. The URL did not show up. How bout this...
Even John from CHiPs got to pull one over. They must have used the commerical for inspiration!. Somehow this one seems to be dubbed in Spanish. [www.youtube.com]
