I have to say I am much more excited by the debut of the Deltawing at Le Mans than any of the F1 crap. They need to have a rewrite on the scale of the DeltaWing to make any of these changes that interesting, other wise it is mostly just skwabling about how dumb they look when all we really know is that Eccelstone is still rich, F1 will still be a race with little overtaking and the teams with the biggest budget will always win.
I miss the days when a team could show up and win in the rain or win because they had a great driver in an inferior chassis. I say slow 'em down a bit, manual gear boxes and 3 pedals, 5 gears, narrow tires and small rear wings.

I agree. When the Smart is equipped with the Euro/Canada only diesel it got really good mileage, enough for someone to accept the inherent storage issues, especially if they have a long commute into a city. However with Dumbmerican gas only option there are a plethora of cars that get the same gas mileage and have more storage, more doors, more speed and more practicality so even if you have a long drive in to the city you gain all the extras making the novelty and the smallness of the Smart Car not at all appealing or needed.
Ergo people buy smart cars strictly for the novelty and what f-ing rental company offers those things? Let us know so I can avoid booking with them at any cost.
When I was at University I was doing a project with a girl in my class (not that kinda project geez) and she was saying her dad was a retired pilot. I asked her what he flew when he flew and if he still did it and she replied that he no longer flew and that he was ex-military. As we chatted along I finally got it out of her that he was in fact a SR-71 pilot and had flown numerous top secert missions throughout the cold war.
