Actually, judging by the size in the report, not more than $20 in scrap. I'm assuming painted steel, which brings a low price compared to say, Stainless Steel. Plus, some safes are a "sandwich" if you will, of steel with a concrete layer. Many scrapyards refuse to buy safes as scrap unless there is verification that the entire body is steel and not the steel/concrete sandwich.
