I say go ahead and make it happen. GM can only improve Chrysler's crap cars and trucks through eventual platform sharing (or better yet, dissolving Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep altogether!), and our taxes will be propping up just one massive company instead of two huge ones, which means half the paperwork. All ye who enter here, abandon all hope, comrades.

GMT360 - the automotive equivalent of a carton of old chunky milk in the fridge.

What I don't get is why Ohio wants to persuade GM to keep building a horrible product no one wants just so they can say they have jobs and work to do in exchange for $56 million in taxes and grants Ohio can't afford anyway, seeing as how they're facing a $1.9 billion budget deficit in 2009. I'd think they should be more concerned with, you know, paying state troopers, or perhaps keeping bridges from collapsing under the weight of GMT360s.

Anyone notice how they don't make Betamax tapes anymore? There's a reason for that.

I wouldn't call a 3-door hatchback "fanciful." I just found out I can fit a full-sized mountain bike in my Civic! That's not fanciful...that's real-world versatility.

And Benz seems to be falling into the same rut as Acura in overstyling their cars.
