<![CDATA[Comments from Bad Juju]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Bad Juju]]> <![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on 2010 BMW Z4 Shows Us Its Rear]]> Re the bathtub feeling. I testdrove a current Z4 and had that decidedly 'in a hole' feeling that I get in my 928, but something that I don't get from a Miata, for example.
In the 928 you feel like a Space Monkey enveloped in a leather uber-cocoon about to be launched into the great unknown, in the Miata you're focused on the road but still have a connection to the car. In the Z4 it was similar to the 928, but being a droptop you'd expect to have more participation with the world outside, but the sill is up to your eyeballs, so you still feel like you're in a bucket. And the torque experience isn't quite the same. Maybe I should have been in an M-model. Or maybe they should have put a big f-off 32V V8 in there.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on 2010 BMW Z4 Shows Us Its Rear]]> Nice. I've always suspected that the less sheetmetal Bangle has to work with, the better things turn out.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on 1986 Toyota Cressida Pizza Deliverator]]> 5M-GE straight six shared with the Supra, rear wheel drive, optional 5 speed manual, near-zero street value?
Sounds like a good time.
Just needs big sticky tires with contact patches the size of a fat lady's thighs.

There's a Lemonsy-fresh '91 in Santa Clara for $400 right now.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo To Be Fastest One-Make Series]]> Another 91, too nice for Lemons, but still just $600
[portland.craigslist.org]

A 92 'needs minor engine work' (hmmm) $500 [austin.craigslist.org]

There were a couple others but they were in snow states where for some reason, Trofeos must be highly prized. $4000 for a 91 Toronado? From Brooklyn? Crack pipe.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Ten Biggest Automotive Turkeys Of All Time]]> Might I also add that the Insight was available with an honest-to-Soichiro manual transmission?
How long til some enterprising ricers fit a K24 into one? Son of CRX! Sadly that ain't going to happen anywhere near me, since they're held in high regard as the cousin of all hybrids.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Ten Biggest Automotive Turkeys Of All Time]]> What does it say that with the exception of the SSR and the LeBaronati, I'd gladly make space for any on this list?
This is a SET-UP! Dohh.. Fooled again.

Now you've got me looking for 400i's that need an LS2 swap.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Chinese Automakers Invade The Main Floor Of Detroit Auto Show]]> Here's a tip China, remove the turret from that tank and you've got a solid seller in the US, as long as the <$2 gas holds out. Multicolored dubs will be a HIT!

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Commenter Of The Day: Happy Birthday Ricardo Montalbán Edition]]> So strange to think that now the Cordoba would be considered a middle-lightweight in the new car market.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Fark You, Ya Farkin' Small Cars!]]> When I would parallel park my Fiat 850 Spider, "discover a small car" meant "back into and crush the driver's side door" Good thing doors were $40 complete from the Pick-Yr-Part.
After that, parking at least 2 feet from the curb became standard procedure. At least the Mini has a 'wide stance'

I was slightly less excited looking at this chart of gas prices from the last 6 yrs.

From which was can learn - don't get gas in the summertime.

I either A) need to make a lot more money or B) Wait for depreciation to strike & acquire a blacked-out & chrome-wheeled example from the LA area in several years.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Truck Trend, Sport Compact Car, Other Titles Axed By Source Interlink]]> How much bathroom reading do you really need, anyway? GRM for me..
It is sad to see how the monthlies have gone to hell in the last 10 yrs. Automobile & C&D used to actually be a good read, and MT wasn't a complete joke.. Print really is dead.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on PCH, Cheap Turbo Porsche Edition: Mystery Turbo-ized '77 911 or Gutted '78 930?]]> I think the 78 930 doth protest too much..and its in south Florida, always a good sign for any ebay adventure.
On the plus side, the seller also has a big-ass baseball bat on offer as well. Not sure of VIN on that particular item, maybe that's a Turbo too.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible Revealed]]> OK, so from the 2009 model year forward, anyone that buys a Solara convertible is, without question, an extremely boring old person, or a Toyota employee.

<![CDATA[Bad Juju commented on Top Ten Reveals of the 2008 LA Auto Show]]> Have we ever been given a straight answer on who Lollypop/mirrorshades guy is?
Wikipedia's Jalopnik article has nothing, and since we've given up on what Wert drove to his reunion, this remains my Burning Question.
