I was more interested in the tow truck. First time I saw a new dodge chassis flat bed truck like that.
I found a early prototype system on youtube..

Does this mean we will have to start bringing own mowers in for yearly emissions tests? That ought to be interesting, wonder if they will but the self propelled ones on a dyno?
How about the Suzuki Grand Vitara, when ever I see that name I thinking Suzuki Grand Viagra.
Most likely it's drivetrain is like the 928. V8 up front and a transaxle in the rear.
Or maybe the Moms can setup their cars to play "The Wheels on the bus go round and round round and round..." Then all the annoyed people in traffic can start destroying all those hybrids. I'm sure the courts would see it has temporary insanity and let them off.
If they are going to do this at least use the sound of a 427 hemi with a warmed over cam.
That back lit Porsche reflector is actually aftermarket, the license plate normally goes there. Most of the 944 crowd frowns upon those. The 944S didn't have much more maintenance then the regular 944, just change the timing and balance belt at roughly 40k like the regular 944. The S version was a two year run, it had the regular 2.5L motor with a 16 valve head.

I used to have now..

A 1.6L with a automatic? I can only imagine how badly that must perform with passengers loaded in the back. At least use the Diesel from that time, it was a slug, but it had some torque.
If your going to mention early Hybrids, you ought to mention what is most likely the first Hybrid and it was 4wd. The Lohner-Porsche from 1898-1906 was a gas/electric car with electric motors on the hubs. Invented by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche himself.
You can always send your new Cayman down the road to RUF and get it supercharged and a few other things to bring up the fun factor.
So what's the market for this if it doesn't become a 4x4? There are only certain parts of the country where you can go desert racing and that isn't a large part. So we created a jacked up 2wd truck that your really can't take offroading in the snow, mud, rocks, and we dropped your MPG's for sticking it up so high in the air.. And as a added bonus the suspension is stiffened up so you can go flying in the air like a Bajaer if you hit a speed bump just right..
Reading the article on it all I see so far is a bigger engine and some racing shocks. I would bet the Dodge Power Wagon would kill it off road. It probably doesn't even have a solid axle up front.
Technially 69 was the last year for the 912, but it did come back for one year in 76. A 4cyl during the gas shortage years sounded like a good idea.
My best was probably in my brothers 89 (?) Accord coupe 5pd. This was in CT in the winter time, he had crashed the car and I was fixing it for him while he was at college. I of course decided I would drive it while I was fixing it. I was coming home from high school in the car, it had no hood, bumper, or drivers fender. I was having fun with the 5spd and was coming down a 35mph road and probably 50 when I saw a cop standing in the middle of the road pointing at me. I pull over and cops sees me and says, "Oh I thought your brother was driving, do you know how fast your were going?" I proceed to tell him I hadn't realized I got up to that fast I was getting use to shifting and in the car, yada yada. He let me and my body panel less car go with a warning. Apparently my brother wasn't well liked with the local police which are state troopers in that town, and was disappointed he wasn't driving.

By the way, the hood probably didn't need to be replaced until a few days before that when I was driving along at about 55 when the bungee cord holding the hood down snapped and swung open against the windshield..

Thank god it has Xenon headlights, I wasn't going to watch it if it didn't..
I vote out My Mother the Car, I've never even seen that show and vote in the Firebird from Smokey and The Bandit
We need clarification from Huckabee, was that a Montego GT?
I don't think that was a official Chrysler website. A whois on it shows it as a private registration with no ties to Chrysler, and google only has one page from that website in it's cache the page with the Ram on it. Seems like a leaked or photoshopped photo that someone went to great links to make it look official.
No emissions or inspections in SC. It wasn't until a couple of years ago that we got temp plates, you just drive around with no plates and a bill of sale for 45 or whatever days till you get a plate, if you didn't then you just write a new bill of sale with a different date.
