I'm glad BMW is finally just a few years behind Audi in engine development :)

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on 2009 Nissan 370Z Breaks Cover]]> I, for one, do not like this modern trend of vertically flattening the first inch radius of the wheel arch. What is with that? Couldn't you have the same strength and use smoother lines? They even managed to make the 3G Eclipse uglier by doing that. Is there an option to roll the fenders before paint?

I don't really get the headlights either. They might as well have made them into the shape of a "Z." Cut off that little nub of fender sticking in there, and make that light cluster nice and clean.

Other than that, it's great ;)

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on In Defense Of Brightly Colored FWD Cars]]> Nicely written. I agree with pretty much everything except I think I've actually started to see more interesting colored german cars on the road lately (mostly Audi, I have yet to see a grey/silver RS4). Maybe we're approaching the end of the "silver era?"

I also love the FWD/AWD platform, after driving an old, loose, RWD classic/muscle car for years. The quattro is much better than the viscous coupler in the DSM, but they both stomp through snow pretty well. I ski all winter, and it's amazing the control you have with F/AWD and some studless traction tires. They're still fun on the track, too. Just find a way to add negative camber and learn to lift a little (or alot) on turn in.

<![CDATA[Turboner commented on Sen. Carl Levin Thinks Feds Could Help With GM-Chrysler Merger]]> Why is it our fault that our automakers are all bloated with overstocks of no-longer-profitable SUV's and don't have any good cars due to starving them of R&D just to design bigger, badder penis compensators?

Oh, yeah, because we bought into all that Toby Keith "you need a big truck to be free and fight terrorism" crap. We deserve to let the foreign automakers clean house. Let the market they created decide their fate. And this is coming from a socialist commie liberal.
