after posting this, i did a little more research and found out that Raimi even hid this thing somewhere in The Quick and the Dead. supposedly, he stripped the car down to the chassis and placed a wagon frame on top top disguise it in some random scene.
'73 Olds Delta 88 from the Evil Dead series. There's just something badass about this car and its history(on and off the screen), Sam Raimi owned the car since high school and has put it in just about every single film he's ever directed.
hmm...49% chance, you say? and the her vehicle can easily be identified due to the shitty rims and bra? it would be a shame if an unfortunate incident were to occur at an intersection down in Florida...
anyone see the starting grid for this year's Gumball 3000? apparently, a French tuning house slapped a Renault 4 body onto a mid-engined Clio V6 chassis and added nitrous injection. this thing just looks so badass compared to all the bullshit Ferraris, Porsches, etc. i was only able to find one vid, unfortunately it's in French: [lecurie.eu]#tips
"hey! that guy has an Integra! I HAVE AN INTEGRA! I'M CAPABLE OF THE SAME ACTIVITIES!!! SAFETY IS FOR FAGS, WATCH ME LOAD THE TANK WITH OCTANE BOOSTER AND SLAP THE STATE LINES!!!"
a few years ago, Lotus was one of the only major manufacturers that literally stripped themselves AND their cars of all this bullshit(in more ways than one). Colin Chapman is rolling in his grave and has been for some time now. the entire company was founded almost for the sole purpose of racing, and this is the shit we get now!? this is almost as bad as the clothing line, holy shit.
@Zdriver76: I'm pretty sure the car went through different setups after one of the times Akio wrecked it, and I think the "Tuner from Hell" did some additional work as well, so you're probably right. Either way, it's a much better series than Initial D. I love the 90's movie, did you see the new one that came out last year? It's on Youtube as we speak(with English subs).
The Devil Z from Wangan Midnight. It's an original 1973 Nissan Fairlady, but it's been modfiied considerably for highway racing. It features a single-turbo powered L28 engine that cranks out about 600hp.
