If you haven't already, watch the special from the History Channel about the Concorde. It's about 2 hours long, but fascinating and emotional and well worth it.
My thought when going from the NJTP north, after going through tolls, to get onto 287N is: stay left, then stay right, then stay left. Works every time, haha.
Glad the Camry is on here. Always a nutjob driving one, more so the later generation than earlier, in my experience. However, I think we can attribute this to the odds. I mean, there's so damn many of them, and if you figure the percentage of any car that has an asshat driver is the same across models, Camry will have more.
I just went with a friend to look at a Certified Pre-Owned car. We were respectful to the salesman (31 years of selling) and he was the same to us. Got the car for $2600 under blue book, an insanely low financing rate, and a good price on a POS trade-in. Took several hours to get the price down, but he was willing to work with us as long as we didn't expect miracles.
Just don't walk in the door with a chip on your shoulder. Do be careful of what the salesperson says. 50% was B.S. in my case. Do your research about the car ahead of time and you'll be able to filter that crap out.
I just love the fact that Jim Glickenhaus not only posts on here, but puts the haters in their place due to his own knowledge and insider info of the car world. I owe you a beer, sir.
Here's a video of my buddy drifting his 04 at the track several years ago. Minor bolt-ons, maybe some springs, but otherwise stock suspensions and drivetrain. It can be done, but it's not ideal unless it's purpose-built.
@Baron von Hoonin: Same comment goes for this as I posted for the OZ Superturismos : I can't look at these wheels in white without picturing them on a rally car tearing up the dirt.
@McMike: Done that to a NJ police officer before. Didn't work. I don't think he bought it, judging by all the expletives he threw at me when I rolled down my window and the 6pts worth of tickets he gave me.
