@NatefromOgden: Show & tell, not shoe & tell.
@Michael Hartzler: I got a personal shoe & tell on a 427 GT40 in the garages at Miller Motorsport Park by the chief mechanic. Larry Miller- Utah Jazz owner before he died owned the cars and even invited my 20 year old son to climb in and try out the cockpit. you know he did and loved every second of it.
@Cloud81918: Well I've said for years that I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body so that must explain my interest in owning an X90. I've owned and loved the Tracker that this thing was derived from- it was nearly indestructible and simple as a tractor to work on but cold and noisy in the winter. Since I only need 2 seats, this would suit me fine as a daily commuter. Not crazy.
Back when these were new they were the frontrunner in SCCA Show Room Stock racing. I worked with a guy that bought one brand new with a deal from the dealer to pay for the safety equipment to take it racing along with his Mini Cooper. It never required anything but dusting and he won multiple trophies with it @ Nelson Ledges.

I wonder if there is a vintage class for SRS A class...
I did the nasty more than once in a Fiat 850 with the top up- even with the woman I was married to at the time. The AMC Pacer wagon was much better though.
Red Foreman has a name for guys like this one- Dumbass!
@tcotrel: I just bought and stashed in my shop, a 78 Kawasaki KZ650- which the spouse doesn't know about... I expect about spring I'll tell her I found a great deal on a classic bike and will "buy" it in April.
I have a Zagg skin cover on the back of my phone with the 59's fins in prominent display and a yellow/orange sunset behind them. Unique and I love it!
As someone who picks up cars from dealers and drives them to an auction yard, I can tell you that the different iconography between brands can be very confusing. It's an education every day!
Nothing but security theater with the TSA. It's been reliably reported that the "advanced" pat downs are designed to encourage more participation through the back scatter x-ray machines. Read this: [blogs.forbes.com]
@Scoutch: Many years ago- late 70s, I drove a tan colored 69 American Motors Ambassador. It was invisible to highway patrol and so nondescript that no one would ever consider stealing it. I left the keys in it 100% of the time and typically left the windows down all summer. Nobody ever bothered it.
Actually, the story about unemployment is a little more interesting to me as I'm one of those folks affected.
@notlauf: I have one of those from my time living in England. It is an unusual and neat model.
@bo8: Dang! I gotta find one of those for my collection!
It has to be the Matchbox Jag E-Type in candy apple red, which I could only find in a Showroom Model 10 piece kit. I wore the paint off a similar E-Type carrying it in my pocket when I was a kid and I just satisfied my search for this replacement a few weeks ago.

Alternately, my favorite could be my Troy Ruttman driven, JC Agajanian Indy 500 roadster or my Johhny Lightning Indy 500 Champion set of Mario Andretti's race winner and the Camaro pace car.
I wasn't planning to come out to MMS this weekend but a chance to meet a Jalop staff member might be enough to tempt me for Sunday.
@TheChefe: There's already a class- been around for years, D Sports Racers in SCCA that has been a bastion of bike engined sports racers. It used to be populated with Suzuki 750 water buffalo 2-strokes, now the GSX-R is the engine of choice. Check it out.
@chsmadden: That would be the Thing under construction not too far from my house. The builder is a long-time aircooled expert and he is building a Thing with a handbuilt frame with 13-15" of wheel travel at all corners and a beefed up drive from a VW Syncro. The motor's ~2400cc and might have water cooled heads- it's been a while since I got to see it. When finished it will be a Thing of beauty.
Back decades ago, I used to listen to a radio DJ that did an adventure/superhero bit that was called Buttman and his sidekick, Swallow. Their "batmobile" was a brown Ford Probe.
High school fantasies revived! What a neat car. Thanks Murilee.
