Hey there Matt, love the work (they always say you should start with a compliment when you want something) I have been an avid reader of Jalopnik for a few years now, and by my use of "avid" you may have guessed I am one of your friends from across the duck pond we call the Atlantic. Before the Update, which i might as well say here has grown on me immensely, I was a starred commentor. Somehow the update took the star from me, I wasn't destarred (not knowingly anyway) because I didn't get a notification or anything telling me I had been. Since then I have been hoping to get the star back, asking advice on Oppo, and some of the guys suggested i take it up with you, i should have thought of it sooner really, but here goes. Is there anyway of seeing in the archives that i once had a star, and if there is anyway i can get it back. If there isn't, then don't worry i will just return to trying to get one the old fashioned way. Thank you for your time Jaaaag

Chevy forgets 1 out of 8 brake pads (yawn) and it is a headline, but BMW/Mini recalls 89,000 Minis for potential fire and nary a peep?

Hey Matt Man. Where's the Speed Week coverage? Do you need me to drive out there and get some sweet/salty shots? Bradyb.
Matt, give us a little credits... not all rallies are irresponsible. since 2007 Chevrolet FIREBALL RUN Adventurally has been all positive media- as we run a very competitive rally while aiding in the recovery of missing children. Don't believe us- here's the latest news with Daytona 500 Winner Geoff Bodine and Shuttle Commander Winston Scott http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20110715/NEWS01/107150319/Volunteers-race-find-missing-Melbourne-children?odyssey=tab

hey matt... i found this cool site (http://dearphotograph.com)... its about putting a pic from old times at the same place & angle it was taken on the current location! its kinda cool, & heartwarming if you know what i mean... & seeing a photo of an old chevy pickup with a remark to some great summer times in it made me thinking; why don't we do something similar here on jalopnik? hope you give it a considering thought! Is Jalopnik broken? Why are there no new posts? I'm still seeing the Mini story from last evening. I read the ca.Jalopnik, because the redesign is so bad it isn't worth fighting with, but all this makes me sad. I have enjoyed this site a great deal, and am saddened to see Gawker driving away the commentariat with its stubborn refusal to listen to its readers.

Is Hooniverse the new J then?

Seriously man, fuck you and your constant cocaine jokes with the DeLorean. You don't like the DMC-12, fine. But you're not funny, and you're definitely not original. If you want to try and attack the car, why don't you actually try and bring up some talking points to debate that are based upon real facts, rather than just rumors and jokes that wore out a quarter-century ago. If you can't even get your facts straight, that seriously puts the rest of your articles into question and makes me doubt your own integrity.

If you're trying to alienate your readers and drive away traffic from your site, you're doing a fantastic job.

Thank you Matt for being a fan of Sleigh Bells. If not for you making your reference I would not have just impulsively bought a ticket to tonight's show in Chicago. I subsequently have taken work off until Tuesday. I have you to thank for kicking off an epic weekend.

This won't post to the COTD. Enjoy. My electronics teacher last year had a story from his year in China. He was there teaching English at a university. He watched as a new stadium was built. Scores of workers readied the ground, then poured the asphalt, topped by sand. After seeing that a mistake had been made. Many scores of workers undid the work and then applied the materials in the correct order. Yes, there were many workers and none idle. But, they had no concern that the work was done correctly.

Hey Matt, in your G-wagon post. 9th place is a G55 AMG but you put the picture of a G500.

Matt,

Regarding your recent post on the G37s. Here's mine, the first Top Secret kit in the US. I wouldn't consider it a non-tuner car. Anyway, i'm proud of it.

Sorry 'bout that. I can certainly stand then on the cutting edge of avant-garde awaiting my time.

Sorry Man- I am really not trying to be argumentative.

Can we agree that Reese list themselves as an EVO tuner?

No need to make it public, but really- isn't it kind of obvious that is their area of expertise?

I re-read my posts, and can only find one really "hostile" reference-
My "Idiot" reply to Dr.spaceman was in response to his (or her) reference toward me regarding "blaming the media". That is all. I see that you follow that person, so please don't get all gangster on me. I didn't push them any further than they pushed me.

As both an NSX owner- and also a member of NSX Prime- a board where the driver of this car is also a member I felt a little call of duty to post some alternate viewpoint.

The guy is fighting for his life, and the anonymity of the internet allows folks to make random accusations based on a report that was very obviously full of factual holes.

Sorry if i rubbed you the wrong way- this was not intended.
