<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pack Finally Revealed]]> Nice.... but the cage and safety equipment is going to make it a 3400-3500lb race car which is way too heavy to be competitive.

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Blacked-Out Vortech-Supercharged Challenger Gives Us The Vapors]]> Wow, maybe now it can break into the 12's! Do I sound unimpressed? I am not sure what ruined the new Challenger more; the over two-ton heft, or the $15000 dealer markup her in Florida. Oh wait, no... it was the AUTOMATIC ONLY transmission with torque management. I guess I can wait another year for a manual.

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Corvette Set Ablaze By Fireworks, Project Car Hell Comes To Life]]> This is why I was a nervous wreck on the 4th of July! I had my WS6 convertible parked in the driveway and rockets were flying all over my nieghborhood. The next morning I found EIGHT in my yard! And these were not the small ones. Thank God they didn't land on the cloth top. I need a 3 car garage. :(

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Toyota Prius, Now With Fake Engine Noise!]]> Just record the sound of a Top Fueler warming up in the pits and play that back on your 1,000 watt system. It makes the hair stand up on my back.

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Toyota Prius, Now With Fake Engine Noise!]]> Needs more cow catcher.

]]>
<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Rock Crusher!]]> I had a Borg Warner Super T-10. It was a great transmission. I drag raced it for 7 years behind a 7,000 rpm small block and it didn't even need a rebuild! 4 clutches, tho. This tranny was so slick behind a set of 4.56 gears. I could easily shift 2nd,3rd and 4th without a clutch around town.

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Avoid E85 Like A Plague Of Corn-Eating Locusts]]> I can't wait to fill up on E85! The ethanol will be like a free intercooler for my roots blower. And, with the additional octane I won't have to pull timing up top. I love it!

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on Seven Ways To Save On Gas This Memorial Day Weekend]]> @Sloop_John_B: I tried that in a pickup with an MPG computer at 70mph. Without the draft I got 15... with the draft I got 16. Not worth the risk of taking a re-tread through the windshield.

<![CDATA[MOPAR-MAN commented on For Those Who Will Not Compromise: 1986 Ford Taurus]]> @CeRuLeaNBLu: I drove a new SHO right off the car hauler back in 1988. I loaded 3 techs in it and ran it down the freeway. I remember hitting 115mph in 3rd gear. That Yamaha engine was screaming! When I got back to my dealership, the GM and the service manager were waiting for me at the entrance. Apparently, the car was sold and the new owner wanted it was NO additional miles on it! Fun day...
