@DK570: So by your definition, a H1 Hummer is a quarter truck.
Actually, if he prepared this for a trackday, then I approve. One of the most annoying things in the world is being on track stuck behind a slower car for laps on end because the driver in front refuses to move over for you.
@Kai Chen: To be honest I think the motivation for the wage increases has less to do with preventing suicides and more to do with a shortage of labor in the Guangdong province. Foxconn won't be the only factory raising wages this year and some others are scaling back to 5 day workweeks (and making it up by adding shifts) to try to attract workers. Rising salaries in the middle of China has made it less attractive for the traditional migrant worker to go to Guangdong and work in a factory.
@NewbiusMaximus: I think roll cages being illegal is an urban myth. If it were, the Jeep Wrangler would be illegal as well.
@RäcinG73™: I stand with Chuck too. I mentioned the possibility of a race to all my friends in NYC and they were either against it or ambivalent. With that kind of attitude from the local population, I wouldn't want to hold a race there either.
How come you're using a weight number that is way lower than what Ford is claiming? That seems to me to be tweaking the numbers in the Fiesta's favor, even if the numbers are wrong. And nevermind that you're comparing out of segment for one specific category (efficiency) that would favor the smaller car, but ignoring other items that would help the bigger cars like interior volume.
@mrwoolery: Lotus Elise cheap? And I doubt they bring much profit at all, certainly not anywhere near enough to even blip the interest hat of a corporate automaker.
@modisch: I had the displeasure of living in Massachusetts for six months and agree with everything you said. California drivers are still the most skilled that I've encountered in this country. Very aggressive, but at least they know they're doing it.
@vavon205: Methinks an even lighter original Mini.
@ProfessorSlowmobile: Umm... the current xB uses a 2.4 liter 150ish horsepower engine.
@mrwoolery: Yes it's a Fantasy World because steps 1-4 do not result in step 5 in the real world.
@GreenN_Gold: I can't see 3D movies so I vote no 3D!
What is this post doing on kotaku? Did it get lost on the way to myspace?
@AshCloud: And these days it's not really that cool for young people to drive sports cars. Instead they aspire after items such as the iPhone and designer jeans and drive Civics. The really cool ones get Priuses.
@Optixtruf: You do realize a large percentage of the Chinese population is very good at KTV right? I've been to many KTV joints in China and some of the people there are better singers than pop stars. Most are very decent at the least.
@leavethegun-takethecannoli: Legendary for never being delivered to paying customers.
@Turbolence88: Can you be my IRS auditor?
In a post apocalyptic world, I'd rather have something with caterpillar treads. Wheels are not that useful off pavement as they're very susceptible to punctures and the light. Treads on the otherhand will take you to those watering holes that the losers with wheels would never be able to get to.
