"my opinion on the matter, The 'Holden vs Ford' test thingy was pretty lackluster, but then, it's been done to death over the last fifty years.
my favorite segment was the one where they raced the stig with Utes/Light trucks vs ONE BIG MOTHA OF A TRUCK
it's interesting to see how they worked out who was the winner, and how cost effective those bloody huge trucks were."
"You guys are also forgetting about the Land Defender, It's been going for quite some time now, What with the same chassis with updated bits on the edges
I think you can still fit various bits from an old 80" onto the latest..."
"according to the link the seller of the fairmont offers as an edit, the fairmont has an Oh So Powerful 30 horsepower electric motor...
Thirty Horsepower
Oh Feel The malaise!
Fairmont for me!"
"@Mad_Science: I think you meant Circus Maximus, The coliseum isn't exactly 'set up' for racing of anysort, it's more a battle arena for christians vs lions vs gladiators...
Circus Maximus is the 'famous' Chariot racetrack (as seen in Ben Hur, the movie)
And I don't know why they raced counterclockwise either,
But I do know that most of the horse races in the world are raced in that direction as well, (except for the quarterhorse racing, the equine version of drag racing)
Perhaps that is part of the reason why we see most circut races running that way, Nothing more then "Tradition""
"The lagona, Becausae it looks even more like a spaceship then the Delorean used in Back to the future
It's only the gull wing doors that got the Delorean the role in that movie, I swear they would have gone for the Lagonda if it had lift-up-doors
Hmmm, I've just given myself a brainwave...
Aston Martin Lagonda, With Gullwings, FTW!"
"@zeet: "how hard can it be" are the Famous last words of any Jalopnik starting down the path of the evil evil PCH
even though, I agreed with ya and voted for the skoda, Military stuff, Even when it's rare is usually built tough, with fairly simplistic construction, with flat panels and whatnot, e'en though it's rusty, that Burma Jeep ain't got the goods on a 'mostly there' near 50 year old Skoda,
Yeah, Definitely PCH right there"
