That is such a wicked car, I wish we had something like it brand new today but for not much money.
I hope they didnt mis-read the last line of his will - "please make me proud and happily cruise my car" - thinking it said crush instead of cruise. Oh snap.
@TheSecondSpitter: I wont even watch it, this is just absurd. I can say all sorts of swear words about it but really its just dumb.
Hey thats such a fitting tribute, but to those involved, I have to say FUCK YOU! WHAT THE FUCK! FUCK NOOooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
@$kaycog: Holy shit that is fucking awesome! Okay now I want to build a clone and take it to HPDEs while cackling in laughter out the teeny sidewindow while that motor sings around Watkins Glen! What a cool car design and damn that motor sounds amazing.
@HammerheadFistpunch: Um first of all no minivan - also of note, most do not get great mpg's. The 2011 Highlander is 3940+ lbs (and up to 4450!) according to edmunds so, how about they make a Highlander that gets 35+mpg and then I'll bite.
How about the mega bloat of 7 and 8 passenger vehicles?! Not everyone needs to tow a huge yacht behind their Chevy Traverse/ Ford Flex /Dodge Durango /Toyota Highlander /etc.! Give us a 3500 pound version that might actually get BETTER MPG and gee maybe some people will buy that version, ya think?!
@Baby Benz needs a '66 Imperial convertible to keep it company: Recorded robbing robber resists rectally rubbing reprieved Ron's rubber?
Robbing robber is robbing!
I'd rather see a cheap-o super lightweight version of the 135 so us JoeSchmoe's can afford a (barely) 4 seater rwd hoon-a-mobile thats a blast to drive and is pretty damn fast because of the Lotus prinicple, LIGHT weight!
Oh thats easy, my LS1 T56 swapped 1987 RX7 'Sport' lightweight! That thing was scary fast w/ almost 400hp on tap in a 2600lb car, a friend and I took our LS1RX7s up to 160mph a few times and that wasnt anywhere near topping them out, just hellacious speeds, wow. They were rock solid too which was a great feeling, amazing brakes, awesome suspension, great aero, nice and low stance. I miss that car a lot too... I will build another some day.
@owen-magnetic: Yes sir, all of the text messages from friends that witnessed me running over the flag girl, well, I thought they were all joking, all eleventy billion of them.
I bet theyre just happy to have at least some engine power to avoid being fed spam/poptart sandwiches.
@Jackie: Remember he is an amazing driver, thats probably a big part of it all.
@pauljones: Well I must be your opposite because I cant stand Ramen but I rock out with Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, Eggo Waffels, Auntie Jemima's Maple Syrup every day of the week, for the kids of course but I can eat some too.
@vvaffle: *See new Ford Explorer press release...
@B-Sel; Curmudgeon in training: I used to be a Honda guy but the CR-Z doesnt do anything for me. I hear your point too RB26Skyline- hibernating bear, but the Mazdaspeed3 and WRX are others I'd rather hoon, especially when just considering a brand new car.
@RB26Skyline- hibernating bear: LOL, sure it will move but its no speed machine. A 350hp/350tq version would be more to my liking, coming from a 2600 lb RX7 with that much power in LS1 T56 guise.
Well yeah if honda-guru Bisimoto can get 500hp out of a turbo CR-Z and get it onto a Honda car show booth, then I hope Honda could figure out a way to get one to market, all OEM and stuff.
@LoganSix: Wouldnt the universe implode if there was such a show and it aired back to back with an actual Mythbusters show?
