<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on 2009 Corvette ZR1 Mega Gallery]]> I wish they had ponied up for some real seats; hell - just steal them from Porsche. The flabby, never securely mounted, rubber leather, craptacularly uncomfortable, no-support seats in Corvettes are always a major let down.

But other than that.....I'm pretty sure this car was conceived an will be built by God.

The opening to AC/DC - Thunderstruck is exactly 1 minute long. This needs to be a Corvette commercial.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on The Monticello Motor Club Opens, Still Probably Closed To You]]> I've got a very good friend that works there doing networking and data systems. I've been getting photos of the progress for months; videos of excursion laps, and photos from all of the events they've had to schmooze clients. First class operation all the way. He's asked that I don't share them yet but when I can all you Jalops will get some behind the scenes pics and footage.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on 2009 Mazda6 Spotted In The Wild]]> @tronim: Yes it is amazing what you can tell about the engine placement, under a plastic cover, in a car you've never seen in real life just by a grainy 1 megapixel photo taken by a telephone and presented in a picture size that needs to be slapped into its growth spurt.
Due to the internet, and it's bucket ton of awesome, I can already feel how awesome the dashboard isn't.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Jeep Owner Clicks Bedliner Option One Too Many Times]]> Where are you guys getting 60 gallons, 200 lbs, etc....?

It will take 2-3 gallons TOPS. Doesn't weigh all that much more than a case of beer. I think a Jeep can handle that

]]>
<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Jeep Owner Clicks Bedliner Option One Too Many Times]]> You guys will see an old Range Rover in that thread; we did the same thing 2 years ago, inside, outside and underneath. It was positively evil and looked better and better the more "too narrow" trails we went down.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Around The World At 154 MPH, No Problems]]> Oh, and BTW; this was done in 1983 with pre-production 16v cars. Interesting to note in the photos in the article one "sport" seat and 1 standard seat.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Around The World At 154 MPH, No Problems]]> Uhm, temps reached 122 degrees. Brain fart....

]]>
<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Around The World At 154 MPH, No Problems]]> I have an issue of CAR from the mid 80's with a big story about this. Taller gearing, larger front air dam, even outside ventilation to the interior blocked off (temps reached 122 mph!), reverse gear removed to save weight. Very little went wrong with the cars (yes more than 1 was running) and even oil changes and valve adjustments were down to a 5 minute science.

Oddly enough the cars (at least when photographed for the story) DID have a passenger side rearview mirror and 3 pointed star hood emblem.

No fresh air vent, but you can bullet down 150+ staring through the star. Those wacky germans!

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Circuit City Tries To Install Navigation System, Causes $12,119 Of Damage To Your Car]]> @scoobydoo:
Lots of people bring their cars to Circuit City/Best Buy, etc...other stores. Anyone that KNOWS what's going on knows you avoid them; but 98% of consumers don't. And they sure do advertise their services so it's reasonable to expect them not to render a car undriveable after an installation. IMO: It's not the car owners fault that this happened so it shouldn't be turned around on him.

<![CDATA[JrodNJ commented on Circuit City Tries To Install Navigation System, Causes $12,119 Of Damage To Your Car]]> Wow.........wow. Just wow. I hope this gets sorted out for the guy. I'm sure he needs a $12,000 headache like another hole in his head.
