I saw this car sitting in front of (what I'm guessing to be) the seller's house. Drove past and thought "sweet caddy." Wish I could've stopped and checked it out.
1980 Volvo 242GT. The car had been repainted in black, and the engine electrical was a nightmare with household extension cords spliced into the harness.
Not sure if it was mentioned in the original post or not, but in his autobiography, Ted Turner talks about towing his sailboat with his Ferrari. Awesome.
@jd: @foreversincebreakfast: Right, because people quit buying them. Those of us in the Jalop-verse are a very narrow demographic. If all of us bought small, stripped-down pickup trucks, then maybe they'd still be in the market place. The truth is, we don't, so they went away.
