Jalops, I'm going to hang myself if tomorrow I'm just crazy, but I smoked alot of lemon skunk and came on jalopnik for the first time in four days. Am I or am I not seeing what I think I may or may not be seeing... #oppositelock
@Lahjik: I drive Volvos and I'm pretty intolerant of idiot drivers behind the wheel and I'll spew racial epithets in frustration. Of course my Volvo has a 4 cylinder making ~300hp so you know, maybe I'm not the average Volvo driver...
@eljefino: Precisely. The closer you look, the more apparent it becomes. If someone parked an old ambulance out in a field for 20+ years it would be crusher bound. Who took these pics? Someone who just magically has them on the Internet. Who may have had a line on the real JFK ambulance and provided these so people stop looking. Just saying, there's just too much to raise doubts when you look at the key evidence closer (photos) If this was a murder, the prosecution would not have proved it beyond a reasonable doubt.
@TheAntiCat is smoking cat-nip whilst playing 21.: Indeed. Too bad you'll kill the abs unit and Driveshaft flex discs and she will have the opportunity to gloat as the flatbed tows away your broken hair dressers car.

I'm not convinced those photos of it being crushed are from 1985. Look at the first one; it's too crisp and clear for it's age. Furthermore the second has a really fake looking patina, but the pickup in the background looks like it has a much newer ford bed on it... And the tail lamps look like the kind introduced around 1988/1989. Sorry, I'm not convinced the photos aren't fake, and who knows about this letter, either. Some people will go to great lengths to discredit others just to be 'right' and garner attention for it. Even if they know they're wrong.
Honestly working for a high end dealership, I can see it happening. We have a whole desk drawer full of old keys for cars that aren't on the lot and are long gone. We have lost license plates to cars that are on consignment. You know those crystal key fobs on some new astons? Worth a few grand each? Yeah we have a few of those that jingled around the owner of the dealerships pockets and apartment until surprise! That doesn't go to the car in the showroom! As well people with money lend out cars all the time. To have the keys of a mystery Porsche in your pocket is not all that new a concept surprisingly...
