@Van Sarockin, rogue trebuchet: While in Florida this week I saw a Corvair (same as Dad's first car at that)wrapped around a bridge support. Woulda broke my heart if I had one :( #topten
I liked the Recaros (IIRC) in my '89 GTI but am gonna go with the seats in my Volvos, the 740 and the 240.
On the other hand, the split bench in my Tacoma sucks, and the non-split bench in Dad's '87 Yota sucks worse!
@pecan 3.14159265: In Greensboro, NC there was a Drug Emporium, thus adhering to emporium making a cooler sounding name... in this case, a gigantic RevCo.
My current ride, a '97 Tacoma. In its last 4 years and 52,000 miles (now at 133k total) in my keep, it's needed a belt and a change of tires. The front bumper has an interesting rust band, err, sunburnt-looking patina, now; and the rear bumper has survived a few run-ins with light poles.
Mom's '88 (Grand?) Voyager, metallic brown with faux wood siding, terminally unworking AC, 3 speed turned 2 speed automatic, 3.0 Mitsu V6 which was rebuilt once & was a two cycle at the time of its sale to a yokel. Handled my first flat tire three days after getting my learner's permit on that bad boy. It replaced a '75 light green Impalert w/ white vinyl roof, and was replaced by a '96 T&C which is still going strong... barring some electrical gremlins and requisite second xmission.
