Wheelbase almost certainly longer than C6. Yet, unbelievably, front overhang increases? What is, the 1980's again, guys? Not much else you can tell from these pictures, rear tailights almost certainly heavily disguised so there's no point squinting at these photos.
Thank you for including the rotary engine. It's really a shame to think just how much better cars like the last RX-7 and RX-8 could have been if they were given useful turbocharged piston engines instead. Both of those cars deserved better.
I'm sorry, but 197hp in a 2800lb car is simply not cutting it. These are almost EXACTLY the same specs as the old Acura RSX Type-S. Actually, I take that back...the Type-S had 13 more horsepower. LOL. This is just another Toyota fail.
Oh. My. GOD.

I live in Kansas City and just drove past this car this morning on my way to Dunkin Donuts. They were in line to drop their child off at a nearby elementary school.

The car looks amazing, it was DEFINITELY eye-catching, and absolutely tiny in a sea of Buick Enclaves.

What a small world...I can't believe this LOL.
The elongated wheelbase of this car just looks wrong. It's no longer a stubby little sports car. It has reached Corvette/Ferrari dimensions. Perhaps necessary but it just doesn't LOOK like a 911 to me. My biggest gripe is the rear-end which looks overstyled and has too much overhang.
That 635 is a beautiful car. One of the quintessential BMWs of any era. It just REEKS yuppie scum...and damn I love it.
Until this story (i've been following it on nagtroc.com) hit the front page of Jalopnik I thought there wasn't a chance in hell this guy would get the car for that price.

Now...it's suicide if that dealership doesn't own up to their mistake. Behold the power of Jalopnik.
Regardless of the truth, can we all agree that that whoever dug up the headlining photo is a genius?
G35/G37 Coupes, slammed on cheapo aftermarket wheels with huge lips, driven by 5'5"-tall men with spiky hair. You can't throw a rock in NJ, NY, or CA and not hit such a car. Douche Coupe Supreme.
Black Dog? No way. That movie had some great road action scenes. Loved seeing an '80's Camaro roar across a grass highway divider, kicking thick clumps of grass into the air.
Okay. (Sigh)

#1 - the Viper needs to be repositioned against the Corvette. Make it a car your dentist can drive to work every day.

#2 - Lotus needs to concentrate on making a single good car before it tries to make 6 of them. Everything they have done in the last 30 years has been pure fail. Putting Camry engines in track toys for balding men bored with their marriages is not setting the market on fire.

#3 Regarding Aston and Jaguar's bizarre goals of doubling and tripling their sales volumes: focus first. Each of you need to be able to build a car that is best-in-class before increasing sales. Your cars routinely place at the bottom of shopper's list after German cars.
Ok, number one, I would never drive like this on public roads.

Number two, I don't see how what this guy is doing in this video is any worse than countless "hooning" videos featured on this site. Yes, this guy is a prick. But no, I am not really seeing any "blind corners" being cut....or at least, nothing any worse than what I see every single day in Wal Mart parking lots with people going 30mph criss/cross to the parking aisles.
993 Turbos are simply fabulous. No other car from the 90's has aged as well and their performance is still breathtaking. Check the values on autotrader, they're more expensive than their younger brothers that are 10 years newer.
Video doesn't work.

But this link does: [www.youtube.com]

Look at the size of those rims!! Those are 20's.
That car just seems huge. Not the most graceful and pleasant track video to watch, that's for sure.
Huge blunder by the ad agency. We could be watching Cobalt SS's here as you rarely get a good look of the cars nor hear them. Just a bunch of bullshit movie music and clumsy camera pans.
Lexus will never be a brand to take risks and will never make a true driver's car (other than the LF-a but that's an absurd halo car that will have nearly zero market impact).

BUT...

Lexus need not appeal to the drivers but it should at least try to appeal in the cosmetic department. Their cars are ugly. Period. And among a sea of ugly cars, the SC convertible is perhaps the ugliest.

People don't spend premium cash to buy BMWs and Mercedes solely because of the badge, they spend the money because the cars are attractive. There isn't a single car made by Toyota or Lexus (or Honda/Acura for that matter) that can come close to the looks of your garden variety C-class sedan or 3-series coupe.
Seriously, this is one of the best comments I have ever read on this site.
My new Mustang GT came with Sirius 6 month trial. I cannot believe pay money for this garbage. Terrible compressed audio, horrible selection, too many commercials, and way too many goddamned sports and sports talk channels. With Sync, I drive around my car and stream internet radio stations through my iPhone and not only do I get higher bit-rate and much better-sounding music, I get a much wider variety of music - all 100% commercial free.
Absolutely pointless car from a crook tuner vs. one of the world's premier sports cars that also happens to be a dead-reliable car 365 days a year.
