Drizzten commented on Losing Net Neutrality: The Worst Case Scenario
"@sluissa: In that specific situation, when the disgruntled users have good reason to believe no new competition will arrive soon*, then they face a basic question: Is their standard of Net access important enough to warrant moving to a different community?"

Drizzten commented on Losing Net Neutrality: The Worst Case Scenario
"@crsrc: Ha, no. I'm saying that: 1) Opponents of NN should acknowledge that ISPs may implement the type of plan featured in the graphic above. 2) That type of service is not necessarily a doomsday scenario for some users. 3) The nature of the Net means tiered access will result in increasingly frustrated users who will ask for more freedom to browse. 4) A tiered access system will spawn competition explicitly offering flat-rate, all-access plans. Therefore, using the state to force Net businesses to operate according to your values is not only wrong, but ultimately not a necessary as some think. My core argument against NN is contained here: [gizmodo.com] #netneutralitychart"
