And that was the last straw, no more Jalopnik. Too buggy, too much filler, too squalid. So long.
I was also born in 1977. All the cars made that year were self-flagellating, strangled, tinfoil junk.
Four minute video for eight second car?
How badly do I want a tuk-tuk? You have no conception.
I was going to suggest this if I didn't already find it here. They look like such helpless pigs!
@LeadfootYT: I disagree; the worst part about the Crosstour is that it is so close to being good looking but just can't quite make it. It could have been gorgeous if they hadn't lifted it. It's like a Rapide body on an F250 chassis.
If it was 46 years ago last Thursday, what does that make today? If the 40th anniversary is sapphire and the 45th is ruby and the 50th is gold, what theme, material or substance denotes the 46 years plus two days anniversary? I propose concrete stained with antifreeze.

@technicalinsanity: Unless you amortize it over all the zillions of miles the satellite is going to do!
@DarthLefty: A discussion I saw last night said that they finished but perhaps did not hit all the waypoints or came in late? Can't tell from what I can find.
I hate to rain on the parade, I would like them to have finished. But the official scoring on the official Dakar site doesn't show them finishing Stage 13, and they are not listed in the final standings.

@Daga: Maybe? I found several versions with other models when looking for a picture.
@stayingclassy: The most impressive one was the stack of Volvos, I think
