"Which came first, the shifting style or the shifting demographic Mercedes-Benz pursues? Was it faltering reliability and quality that pushed older buyers away? Was it a new marketing scheme to gain necessary younger buyers to keep the brand alive? I don't know what prompted the changes in the past decade, but Mercedes-Benz has faltered and is not picking up the ball. It seems pretty clear Mercedes-Benz is now chasing increased market share through cheaper (price/quality)products."
