There was a Ferrari F1 car from a few years back that had scalloped heat extractors on the side. I don't remember what year it was. The 2003 picture at left was the closest I could find. Anyway, that was probably the last F1 car from Ferrari that I thought looked cool. This new one, while probably faster, just doesn't do it for me (though all of this years applicants are ugly)
Wow... Dr. Okun put on some weight. I always wondered if that alien actually killed him.
I think this thread needs some Panther Platform Loving. This is my cousins Crown Vic on the dyno. Skip to 3:53 for the best run. 257hp and 301lb-Ft torque on 87 octane. It may not be much bite, but that's one hell of a bark
Looked Better without the Pep Boys Wing... If its functional, it gets a pass. The Zagato is nice and all, and I get the appeal of the limited production but I still want my DBS. I just can't figure out whether it should be coupe or convertible.
Plum Crazy Went away again. When i was still looking at cars, I was looking for a new Plum Crazy Challenger. Dealer said they were a one year color.
Well, I think the fact I didn't know about it made it better. I don't think its necessary to hype a commercial. If it can't get its point across without a trailer, I think the ad agency needs to try again. I don't remember teasers for last years VW ad or Chevy's Miss Evelyn, or Bridgestone's Gopher commercial and those were my favorite commercials.

Well actually scratch that, I thought the teaser for Honda was actually better than the commercial but that had more to do with their choice of a CR-V.

Still, while I know I veered off point, I think a commercial that catches me off guard is the one that makes a huge impact. I loved the Kia Commercial because of its Randomness. First there was Adriana Lima.. Then there was a huge sandwich and a Lumberjack. I think its going to be everything Kia could've asked for.

I liked it... There was no teaser... No hype... Just a commercial that came out of no where and made me smile. I still don't want an Optima, but I know two people who bought them and they love it. I think its everything a commercial should be. Well Done Kia.
I would like to see Pacific Green or even a Hunter Green make it back to mainstream. In the late 90's, Pacific Green was Fords "go-to" color for the Mustang, F-150, Taurus, and Contour. Shown at left is a particularly nice example of a 1997 Pacific Green Mustang Cobra.
I was all set to go "I SAID THE MUSTANG FIRST!!" on you but then I double checked the comment thread and waveridin1959 had the exact same time stamp. Well play buddy well played. Good catch by the editors
1) I never noticed the forum tab on the bottom, though you still have to click that, and then click opposite lock (I know, I'm being lazy) I was thinking a direct link maybe like a little skidmark next to the search icon. Thanks for the info though.

2) I'm currently using the newest version of Firefox. I checked it internet Explorer (I think Ver10 not sure though) and it doesn't have the scroll bar either.

3) Its on my cell phone. LG Revolution 4G. Granted, It could just be the cell phone but it just seems odd that it locks up the screen when there's a video. Figured maybe it was worth a look.

Two thoughts come to mind. 1) I think an operator at Abu Dhabi needs to go back to training on how to tighten a seat belt. The Strap fell off her damn shoulder!. 2) If your about to be strapped into a racecar, wouldn't you mention that "Oh hey, my seatbelt is still loose." Its kinda like saying.... "Yeah Three lug nuts it good enough...It'll have a little wobble but you'll feel like your going 200"
I love the Morning Shift... It really is the best thing to come from the redesign. I look forward to it every morning. That being said, I'm still not crazy about the new Jalopnik and I think we lost quite a few commenters because of it (that and we had a lot of editorial changes too). Either way, I have no plans to leave the community over the layout.

BUT...If you guys are taking notes, 1) Give me a direct link to Opposite Lock so I don't have to scroll back two the Morning Shift. 2) Bring back the second scroll bar for the side menu as it works easier with a track pad on a laptop. 3) Can you fix the mobile site so that links with video don't lock out the screen and let me scroll to the article. Currently, I have to stop the loading before its complete to read the article, then reload to watch the video.

Thanks guys and keep up the great work

As a Jalopnik reader that stumbled upon this post, thank you for pointing this out. People forget about things a little too quickly. Gawker's failure to verify and address potential security flaws and then give a half-hearted apology is all the more reason this post shouldn't exist.

I realized this the other day. It's not the hacker who is looking for me that i'm worried about. Instead, it's the guys who is doing it for shits and giggles because he could probably wreak more havoc than the first guy.

Ok Back to Jalopnik... The overlords will probably wonder where i escaped to

Excellent Comment McMike. As I am partial to fox body Mustangs, you get TWO bottles of Brefass Scotch. They will be in the trunk of Skycogs Mustang
At the risk of never ever ever receiving a star, I actually don't know what to say. There is no doubting Bob Lutz accomplishments to the automotive world, nor is there any reason one cannot aspire to be like him, but to say you would go gay for him is a bit much. While I understand I am taking it out of context, your reasoning in the article didn't do much to convince me otherwise. That being said, after reviewing the clip, I thought your reasoning and explanation for the Bob Lutz Man crush was much less gay than you played it up to be.

While I don't necessarily agree with Owen Thomas's comparison to Steve Jobs and Elon Musk (mainly because Apple for as long as I can remember has never introduced a product before it has been created, nor is as vocal as Tesla is about what goes on inside its factories), overall I thought it was a pretty interesting point that was brought out. I look forward to watching the movie at some point.

Fox Body Mustang... Any version from '82 on(Maybe '84. Shame on me, I forgot the year they brought back the 5.0). As long as it has the 5.0, you can't really ask for a better bang for the buck.
I didn't realize that they were optional on the 94-95 Gt. Thanks for the correction. As far as the SN-##, according to Wikipedia, SN95 New Edge is the proper term. However, I remember reading in quite a few articles that the 99-04 was called SN-99 and subsequent searches bring up both SN-95 new edge and a few links for SN-99. At this point, I'm going to assume @drager92 is more correct than me, but I do know I have seen SN-99 before.
