I'm doing the brakes soon on my E30, and I found this nice kit ([www.turnermotorsport.com] from TMS. I'm definitely buying it, it's by far the best deal and I definitely need everything included in the package.
I just don't know which pads to choose. I've got it down to Axxis Deluxe, Axxis Ultimate, and Hawk HPS - I would even consider Hawk Ceramic if anyone can provide detail. I currently use the car as a daily driver (in South Florida), mostly short distances, so cold bite is important to me. However, in eight months I'm off to college, and the car is headed up north, where it will be driven through mountains and snow (not at the same time) - mostly pleasure driving.
Brake performance and feel is definitely important; I would like to improve over OEM, but I also need to know what will work best (in your opinion, from either research or personal experience) in the above-mentioned situation. I know the Axxis Deluxe is a relatively standard pad which doesn't squeal or dust, but apparently its cold performance doesn't even stack up to OEM. Noise and dusting are important, I'd rather not have either, but of course I can put up with them (anything that dusts less than OEM is a g-d send, and that's all of these). I'm considering brake noise/squeal because honestly, it's a little embarrassing.
I've been experimenting with moving the Windows 7 Taskbar to the side of the screen to free up vertical space, but I've run into a problem. The start button (circle? pearl?) is relocated to the top of the screen. It would be much more convenient if I could move it to the bottom of the screen, essentially swapping it with the time.
Or, any dock alternatives which acts very similarly to the Windows 7 Taskbar?
@Tills13: Exactly - this isn't going to hurt anyone with intentions of gaming the system, only those who wish to test drive an app and see whether or not their purchase was worthwhile.
The only thing this 15 minute refund window will lead to is me buying an app, backing up it, grabbing a refund and then deciding whether or not I like it. 24 hours was perfect to see whether or not it actually fit your needs, but I do understand why this cutback is taking place; it's just that it's such an extreme change.
@PhineasJW: Actually, the G2 uses a much more powerful processor/chipset than the N1, it DOES has built-in tethering, and even recently the inclusion of wifi calling, which is really neat. I'm an N1 user, and my dad has a G2, but I often find myself a little jealous at how buttery-smooth everything is in comparison; it's just enough of a difference - the new Snapdragon really is comparable to the Hummingbird.
Edit: I just noticed the slimmer and lighter portion of your requirements, and hereby nominate the MT4G. Everything above applies, except vanilla Android, but you were planning on rooting and installing a ROM (CyanogenMod) anyway, right?
Why are the buttons always mapped so differently on Google experience devices? Because of the N1, I find it difficult to use mainstream Android devices when I help out my friends, and this will be yet another button layout.
