"It's probably already been said, but GM's mistake (I hope I'm wrong) with the G8, El Camino, and Camaro is listening to the (in this case) dangerous combination of Bob Lutz and 300M/Mustang sales. Methinks that when a few hundred thousand Americans bought these cars, what they were looking for was something with style...and some auto execs mistook that for rear-wheel drive and power.
