Yesterday I notived an older gentleman exiting his weatherbeaten 2002, which is a dream car for me. I gave him a compliment, and he stated that he had owned the car for 40 years. I thought that was cool until he asked me to guess the mileage. And so it began:
"200,000"
"Higher."
"Half a million."
"Higher"
"750."
"Almost there..."
"850,000?"
"Very close. 866,000 miles, by me."
No details on how much of the running gear was still original, but BMW and longevity seem to be mutually exclusive, at least to this extent. This is Volvo / w123 territory. Hopefully pics will show up. #oppositelock
Just for kicks I timed that run using my watch. I was a little late off the line and I didn't stop it until I saw the towers, but it was still in the 9 second range. Can't wait to see this bad boy.
Prepare yourself for the newest sensation: Who can BE 1dollar93?
Your mind will be blown! we will invite several individuals who will try to beat 1dollar93 at being 1dollar93, but will not invite and publicly deride any 'pussies' who stand a chance at being 1dollar93!
This event is the first in history, as only one man has ever ascended to be 1dollar93!!!!
If 1dollar93 is trounced, he will take his ball home, but there is little chance in that happening because 1dollar93 practically invented his own existence.
@Whack-a-mole: Are you considering driving from LA to Yellowstone in a Miata? They are about 17 hours apart, and the majority of the driving is straight and flat. Plane tix will save you!
