People who buy new VW Jetta Sportwagens of a TDI flavor are incessant bores who waste people's time bragging about their fuel mileage and the superiority of the wagon body style.
@skierpage: Yes. Apparently Europe has a significant problem with cars hitting people, so the obvious solution was to force the European automakers to pig-face their cars so that they keep the maiming to a minimum.
@geistkoenig: VW has a similar problem with their HPFP on their diesel 4 cylinder engines. Mine failed at 18k miles. They fixed mine without complaint, but they did have my diesel fuel tested for contamination before they took care of it. The NHTSA is investigating this issue.
I'm sure the successful middle-aged dentists will appreciate all of the time and money GM has spent on testing. Those 6 mile roundtrip commutes to the office can be HELL on performance cars.
I'm digging the Michigan plates on this car. It's like the car is telling the Germans "Yeah I'm from Michigan. Big whoop. Wanna fight about it?"
