Carmakers figured out long ago that Benjamin Moore—type paint swaths are strictly bush league for demonstrating the effect of high-gloss tints on preciously molded sheetmetal. That's why they've come up with variations of paint balls, demi-balls and stone-like objects — 3D forms with which to sell the public on their lines' polychromatic resplendence. We came up with a short montage to illustrate their use and to demonstrate how easily we're led astray by shiny objects.
