It wasn't ever designed to be more than a disposable people hauler, and the 1959 Oldsmobile is rarely included in a conversation of the most attractive designs the late 50s had to offer. Even so, to us it's hard to imagine anyone would argue that this 1959 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Fiesta station wagon, wearing the same shade of "Russet Poly" paint it left the factory with, is anything but beautiful. More »

With the overwhelming popularity of 60s Camaros, you have to do something pretty extreme and out of the box to build a car that is unmistakably one of a kind. That is exactly what the builder of this unique F-body managed to do, turning a stock '68 Camaro into the Oldsmobile powered mid engine hatchback dubbed the "Cam-aero" seen here. More »

It is a rare occasion when you stumble across any 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 Fiesta Wagons, restored or otherwise. Oldsmobile lost market share in 1957 because it's design was considered to be dated in comparison with the new "Forwardlook" Chryslers, specifically Desoto (the company's direct competition). 54 years later, one look at this weathered Olds is enough for most car lovers to understand why GM's "dated" styling from 1957 is still so popular. More »

The General Motors composite-body minivans of the early 1990s earned their "dustbuster" nicknames for the resemblance to other home appliances that suck. One example was transformed into a six-wheel pickup that's apparently for sale. Silhouette-amino? By 1974 the cars being sold were a lot different than the fire breathing "Super Cars" being sold in the late 60s. As is evidenced by this vintage road test, although Car and Track did it's best to change with the times, it was never quite the same. This is fairly apparent throughout this 1974 Oldsmobile Omega S road test. As host Bud Lindemann points out, the S in the Omega's name signifies sport options and a higher price tag. More »

Give nerds enough time and they'll come up with some crazy stuff. Example: this Oldsmobile Delta modified with servo actuators and operated wirelessly via iPhone. Of course, with that working, it only makes sense to go car-surfing.
