Following on the heels of last year's Lexus IS F and 2006's 2007 BMW M6 Convertible, this year they'll be offering up the new 2009 BMW 7-Series. Oh joy. Unlike the very pedestrian blue-and-white of the previous Hennessey 650R, these precious snakes come in black with a matching black-and-red leather interior. Every year, the company picks some manner of flashy ride, has its own edition built, and offers it up to Neiman's well-heeled, ADD-addled customer base. Inevitably, the entire inventory of 50 or so cars sells out in 75 minutes, with subsequent press release touting same. This year's $139,000 Neiman Marcus edition 2007 M6 Convertible Limited Edition gets a Ruby Black paint job with Piano Black trim, power leather seats and an eleven-speaker sound system. Last year, the Neiman Marcus limited-edition Maserati Quattroporte flew off the shelves like G&Ts at the last Gawker holiday party. This year, the high-end retailer is including the Lexus GS 400h hybrid sedan in its 2005 Christmas Book, the nouveaux-bourgeois Sears catalog for ladies who lunch (and the gentlemen who keep them in frissee and Prada). A mere 75 of the Neiman Marcus limited-edition GS hybrid (not shown) will be built, each in Crystalline Ice an exclusive exterior color (matches her eyes), plus a coordinating car cover (natch) and two sets of floor mats with the Neiman Marcus logo, all for $65,000.
