In addition to the gold-painted SLS AMG we showed yesterday, Mercedes-Benz also premiered the limited-to-79-units Middle East-only G55 AMG KOMPRESSOR "Edition 79" at the Dubai Motor Show — a reference to the year, 1879 1979 — the G series started.

Special features include the "designo magno alanite grey" matte paint finish which borrowed from the SLS AMG, front cow-pusher, carbon fiber-looking side trim strips, 19-inch AMG wheels in a titanium finish and chromed protective grilles for the front blinkers, tail lights and the underguard.

Inside, the limited run G55 AMG sports two-tone designo leather seats, carbon-fibre trim and the Edition logo "1 out of 79" positioned in front of the selector lever. Yay.
