Meet The World's Second Female CEO Of An AutomakerMáté Petrány5/07/14 7:53amFiled to: CitroënPSALinda Jackson194EditPromoteShare to KinjaToggle Conversation toolsGo to permalink Linda Jackson, former Managing Director of Citroën UK will replace Fréderic Banzet as CEO of the Citroën brand next month, thus becoming the second female CEO of an international car maker in less than a year. Of course, being the CEO of Citroën won't make Jackson as influential as GM CEO Mary Barra, since she has to report directly to former Nissan North America President and current PSA Chairman Carlos Tavares. Just like how Barra is a GM lifer, Jackson has been in the motoring industry for 35 years and with Citroën since 2005 when she started as Managing Director for the UK, then France and finally back to the UK and Ireland operations in 2010.It's going to be a bumpy ride for her. While pushing sales higher in Europe is an absolute must for Citroën (and PSA), she'll also have to make sure the Chinese operations keep going smoothly before anybody could start dreaming about sending French cars to America again. As far as the DS line goes, that gig landed at Yves Bonnefont who will have to "accelerate the development of DS as a premium brand in its own right". Advertisement Advertisement Right.
