For the moment it's merely a concept, but the Chevrolet Matiz-based "3-Euro Car" from German supplier Fahrmitgas offers something many price-sensitive Europeans want: the ability to drive 100 kilometers for just €3. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5120544/fahrmitgas-3+euro-car-100-kilometers-for-just-three-euros" title="Click here to read more about Fahrmitgas "3-Euro Car": 100 Kilometers For Just Three Euros">More »

While liquified petroleum gas hasn't really hit the radar as an automotive fuel in the US, it's a fairly popular alt-fuel conversion in Australia, as far as alt-fuel conversions go. And the Australian government, governing a land down under, where beer does flow, men chunder and LPG is in good supply, wants to make it less painful for its citizens to switch, offering a $1,000 cash rebates for Aussies who bought new LPG cars, and $2,000 rebates to those who had their existing cars converted to run on the fuel. No word on whether they're extending the incentive to the shrimp-barbeque industry. More »
