We need someone. Someone who likes cars and jokes and such as much as we do. That person could be you. That's right, we're hiring.
Right now we have an opening for an Editorial Fellow. What is an Editorial Fellow, you ask? Well, good question, dear reader. It's someone to help out with the day-to-day. There will be picture finding. You will be required to laugh at our jokes. But there will also be the opportunity to write real posts. Oh, and the chance to work alongside some of the most deranged people in all of the automotive world.
A good applicant should have at least a tenuous grasp of the English language, a working understanding of the internet, a love of all things automotive, and some photographic abilities. This position is quite entry-level and requires that you live in the NYC area and are able to come to our super glitz-tastic SoHo office from time to time.
It's helpful if you know about cars and have heard of/can use Twitter and Facebook and other social medias (classmates.com?).
The position is five days a week, three hours a day, and, in a twist ending, is paid. We'll take submissions till Wednesday (That's July 10th).
How to apply: Send us a resume, a cover letter, and writing samples (photo samples don't hurt either). Send an email with those bits and the subject 'Editorial Fellow' to travis at jalopnik dot com. If you don't use that subject line, I'll assume you're a Nigerian prince that has started an outlandish con scheme to put my Miata in an escrow account and I'll delete the email.
