In today's installment of 'holy crap I watched someone almost get his face caved in,' an IndyLights driver narrowly misses a loose wheel shooting inches from his helmet.
The driver is Lloyd Read and the incident happened at the start of the IndyLights race at St. Petersburg two weekends ago.
Here's how Lloyd described the experience on his YouTube video description.
Start of the first race of the season. It was going great up until turn 3. I never want to have to dodge a tire at 120 MPH again! So glad that Scott was ok after a scary suspension failure.
File this under Save of the Year, then.
