A Little Technique Goes For Miles

Hey kids! I'm helping my good buddy Mayor learn to heel and toe and he sent me this video, which is pretty dang sweet. And accurate. Remember, the reason you go through the trouble of heeling and toeing is because your tires can only do one thing (well) at a time. They can either accelerate, brake or turn. Under acceleration all of the vehicle's weight is in the back. Stabbing the brakes, or even just lifting off throttle, redistributes the weight to the front tires so that they can better handle turning duties. However, if you just hit the brakes your engine revs will fall. So, you need a way to brake and gas all at once. Like our anonymous racing driver friend above. Actually, this guy is way too cool to pal around with dorks like us – check his picture perfect double clutch at 0:11. Dang.
