As far as we can tell, the new GT500KR Mustang KITT still lacks any kind of turbo boost. But now you can still enjoy a little bit of the old Knight Rider turbo in the form of a remote control car. Forget the Mustang—let's return to the Golden Age with the Pontiac Trans-Am KITT remote-control car from Firebox. You'll be the coolest kid in the neighborhood. Your dad will be able to beat up other dads. But not The Hoff, or course. More »

We have no words. We'd seen the made-for-MTV version, but the live performance, we feel, stands on it's own four wheels. Joke, thy name is Hasselhoff. In media, self-deprecation is the slipperiest of slopes — it's way too easy to keep cashing the checks, allowing joke on joke to culminate in a catastrophic loss of dignity. No actor alive has (heretofore) been able to toe the line better than David Hasselhoff, whose ridden extraordinary camp fame to roles in the current #1 movie and highest-rated TV show in the US (Click and America's Got Talent). The gig may be up. Now, he's covered a long-forgotten Ted Mulry Gang number, "Jump in My Car" for his Australian audience, the video for which sends up his goofball heartthrob image with help from old sidekick, KITT (albeit a right-hand-drive doppelganger — thanks to digital video's "mirror" function, likely) and a lineup of run-of-the-mill Aussie floozies. Buckle up for safety. [Thanks to Stephan for the tip.] <a href="http://jalopnik.com/184566/hassel+huh-the-hoff-cuts-video-with-kitt" title="Click here to read more about Hassel-huh? Frankly, we don't really know how Knight Rider ever snowed us as kids. We remember those early TV spots where KITT smoked a '69 Dodge Charger painted orange with a not-so-subtle "00" painted on the doors. But c'mon, really, an RB-powered Charger or a smog-choked 305 motivated Trans-Am? If KITT werereally powered by a 200 mpg turbojet, our hunch is that there wouldn't have been room for a certain gro
-im-Deutschland future Baywatch star. Still, if Knight Rider's your ball o' wax, here's your site. <a href="http://jalopnik.com/121885/michael-i-do-believe-were-featured-in-a-blog-more-than-you-needed-to-know-about-knight-rider" title="Click here to read more about Michael, I Do Believe We're Featured in a "Blog": More Than You Needed to Know About "Knight Rider"">More »
