An early myspace pal we haven't talked to in two or three years or so (we're largely retainers, not deleters) posted a bulletin about one of her myspace pal's need to sell a hearse. Said multi-degree myspacester is asking $3k and is apparently known as "Maverick Cadaverick," which brings to mind Steve Miller, Tom Cruise and um, er, uh...45 Grave? Eddie Jimenez of the Fresno Bee doesn't like it when people park their vehicles on their front lawns. He lives in Reedley, California, which is another one of those Central Valley towns that may as well not be in California. But the thing that cheesed us off the most is that Fresnans (Fresnoites? Fresnenians?) have apparently had the temerity to pass legislation banning lawn-parking. People. You live in Fresno. It's a rite of passage the first time you park your vehicle on the grass, break out the cinder blocks and remove the wheels. There's no point in trying to make the Central Valley highfalutin'.
